Well, the past year has been kind of a whirlwind. Some of you may know me on here, but I'm not a super active poster, at least haven't been lately due to life. Unfortunately, I got divorced over the winter and the only way for me to keep the house and buy her out was to cash in some retirement savings and sell the Viper. The kids and house were priority number 1 and 2. Finally got myself back on my feet a bit financially and was due for a new car, but I wanted something that could serve both as a "fun" weekend car and also something I could throw the kids in and drive to school, work, etc as I don't have the financial means anymore to have a car for both purposes. I do have an old Toyota Tacoma for inclement weather use and that thing will probably outlast a nuclear holocaust...runs like a top. So the new car would have to be a semi-daily driver. I considered a new PP2 Mustang GT, but after thinking about it, it wasn't going to work as a part time daily if I needed it. The PP1 is nice, but after looking at the PP2 I couldn't bring myself to do a PP1. I decided to do this: 2018 BMW M2, Mineral Grey, with the DCT and executive package. Just picked her up at the dealer yesterday! It's all optioned out and has some carbon fiber bits. I think with the black grill and side vents upgrade she looks pretty sinister. Anyway, I'm happy and it's good to be back in a "fun" car".

Good looking car. Is there more back seat room than a mustang?

Very nice! The M2 is a much better all around performance car than the Mustang. It'll be more reliable also. Good choice.

Yes, it's fairly roomy...doesnt feel cramped at all. Anyone under 6 feet tall will be fine.

And thanks guys!

Very nice car. Best drivers car BMW has to offer. On a side note hopefully you planned ahead for the tax implications if you cashed out of a 401K.

Looks good man, sorry about the divorce. Just curious did you ever consider a used CTSV or G8? I have 2 kids and I’m constsntly thinking about trying to pick one of those or a TBSS up.

Thanks...and nope wasn't a 401k, but it was some stocks that I cashed out of. I did go over everything with my financial advisor so we are all good on the tax front.

I haven't had a chance to drive a M2 yet, just a M235i and M240i which were a lot of fun. I know the M2 is the last car to have the spirit of what the M division used to stand for (Motorsport, now it's Marketing).

Congrats, and welcome to ///M ownership!

Great ride Chris, hope to see you and mini you, sometime during the summer. A Bimmer for now but your Stang roots, run deep. Best of luck with your new ultimate driving machine, Brother.
