Okay I have been busting balls periodically over the past few weeks on this swap..finally feel I have enough accomplished to throw up this thread.

I'm going to keep this short and simple and full of plenty of pictures.

Quickly recap..bought my car at 194k miles about 2 years ago completely stock...and this is a picture of it exactly a year ago..

Then this happened..

I will be running the MSD 6-MOD to control all my ignition needs

Paired with a custom intake manifold by MVP Performance in Iowa...I have yet to land on which carb I will be going with however.

Here is my fuel system I am going with.. [wallet for size comparison]

A1000 fuel pump, -8AN Feed, -6AN return

Here is my sump & return..which will be painted silver before it is installed on the car

Here is my alternator that I will be running on the car on the right...I will explain it with a picture later on why I went to a different one ;]

Before anyone says anything..yes I realize that the fuel system is complete overkill for what I need on my car currently...but I don't plan on staying N/A for too much longer, and will be using every bit of the fuel system....

here is a quick picture of what I am doing for the rear end..

package2_5.jpg

-33-spline axles w/ c-clip eliminators
-Full spool

Paired with a set of 4.56s gears

I plan on completely removing the rear end of the car out..completely cleaning it and painting it before I reassemble it back into the car.

I already have a set of lower control arms for it, now I just need to pick up a set of upper control arms.

Looks like fun, man. I'll tell ya, if I had my dads garage torn apart like that, my old man would kill me! (Still work on my car in my dad's garage).

I'm exhausted and it is currently raining here so it is too humid to go out and work on the car, so I figured I would go ahead and post up progress...tonight and tomorrow I should get more stuff down and out of the way

haha..my dad doesn't know what to think..its mixed emotions of being proud of me...but he can't help but to think I'm ridiculous! [which is understandable]

He's the trooper though...he is the one that got me into it when I was little, so he has no one to blame but himself!

Don't forget to get those axle tubes welded up while it is out of the car.

That looks like a pile of torture but props to you for doing something different. Are you weighing the components as you pull them from the car?

So full drag car now? Do you have another DD or no? That spool is gonna suck on the street if its a DD and what are you doing for gauges and stuff if you selling the stockers?

Yup! either going to do that or get a swarr bar made for my car.

It is a huge pile of torture and a HUGEEE nightmare..sure I didn't have to even touch the dashboard at all..but I'm picky about the work I do and wanted to do things a certain way.

No I am not weighing..don't really have an accurate scale laying around...just pretty much tossing things out.

To be honest, I actually don't even have a picture of the intake either! I'll try and see if the guy will snap a picture of it when he gets the chance and I'll send it your way whenever I get it.

Not my DD..but it will still see an amount of street driven miles.

As for gauges...I learned they won't work anymore, so I am either going to sell it ,and if they don't sell..I just got myself a desk ornament. Then get a Florida 5.0 instrumental gauge setup.

No, I'll need a 3" cowl to clear the carb and air cleaner.

His stock hood is already nothced to clear his old combo. By the end of next summer he will need a big hood for his end goals. This car will be one of a kind and bad fast.

:banana::pepper: :burnout:
I'm definitely pumped about it!

You can make 900rwhp with a stoch hood. What combo requires a big hood?

I completely agree that 900rwhp can be made with a stock hood...although I will be making more than that.

But it isn't so much how much power we will be making..but it is HOW we will be making it.
