I have some extensive plasti dip trials and errors, i do not believe it will take the heat under the hood. I would use 500 degree engine enamel same as brake calipers, otueriwise you are asking for some dip failure. The stuff is extremely user friendly and is not partial to one material or another (plastic, metal, tile, wood, etc). I dipped my strut tower brace and got bubbling on that piece, so i had to peel it. I hope im wrong because it looks very good! Ill be matte black enamel my paxton when i receive it and the mustang will be getting a fresh dip job for the season.

I already have the catch can so I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out which way to run the lines for both sides and the boost application. I though it was a little different than na setup.

I think the dip will be fine because it been tested in the 200-300 range fine. Your stb bubbled because of the smooth surface and the heat. The blower has a little more bite for the dip since it's not polished.

Oh don't worry I will! I'll keep things updated as I get more done to the car as well as track times.

Any of you guys running the morso catch can?

Im running a custom can setup

I see yours is vented though. Mine isn't so I was thinking of connecting both sides into a T, then routing that into to catch can..but since I'm boosted how do I route the exit portion since I can't connect it to the intake?

Any pics of the can you are using? Is there any. Check valve on the exit portion? You could setup a breather coming off of that and cap the intake manifold portion

Here is the can, I got it because of how simple it is to drain and it's a nice piece. I'm going to dip it and the bracket black. I love dipped parts :) lol

So here's a quick update to where I'm at. I spent a large portion of yesterday tooling around in the garage. Next weekend I'm on vacation so I can't do anything to it.

I got the ic mounted and all my dipped charge pipes. T-bolt clamps all around. Fan is back on. All coolent lines + tank is mounted and set. Battery/tray back in. Dipped the coil covers black put those on as well. Bov line is tapped and routed.

I still need to trim the bumper and all those little things. Install my upper/lower grill on the bumper. Figure out my PVC and mount my catch can. Fuel injectors. Bap. Get more coolent + oil change. All my other bolt ons as well. Lol still have some work ahead of me..I didn't follow the directions exactly on everything because I found better ways to run a few things that ended in a much cleaner install. I'm going to dip the coolent beaker black as well as a few other things you can't see. Here's the progress (cell pics) for those that like pictures :)

As much as I want it black I don't want to add anything over it for maximum cooling efficiency..I doubt it would make much if any difference. But me being me that's not something I want coated even though it would hide the ic completely. I have a lower grill going in so you won't be able to really see it anyway.

Haha yeah. Can I just say how EXCITED I am to get this running. I know I don't have much time to work on it and I could be working faster...but this has been in the works since last fall when I started to get parts for a spring update. I've only driven the car with cat deletes, CAI, and a bama tune. That went 12.2 @ 117.8 mph on the stock 245 tires. It's going to be totally different with the suspension, driveline, and engine updates. I can't wait! Should be like buying a new car once I'm done. I keep adding things to my build list so who knows when I'll be done lol. End of this month I hope!

Ok now I'm stuck. Got to the part where is says install the supplied shorter fuel rail spacers..I don't have any?! All I have left is the PVC stuff, a few couplers for the intake, and AT parts I didn't use. Am I missing something or can I reuse the stock spacers with my Id1000's...

Edit never mind guess I don't need them.

Looks like you figured it out. Stock injectors are the same length as the id1000s, so use the stock spacers. Make sure you lube all three orings on the injectors or you will get a fuel leak on first fire up. (ask me how I know.)

I did oil everything lightly for fear of cutting the orings on a dry install. Thanks for the help. I'm just waiting on my sct3 software to upload so I can put my startup tune on it. I should of done this on a snowy day. Forgot all about it lol.
