I've seen photos of engine parts painted. Valve covers, timing covers pulley bridges, even the eaton being done. Have any of you guys seen anyone or heard of anyone doing the lower intake also. It would look good with everything else done. Not done it seems like it would stick out because it looks ugly. Does anyone know if it can be done or do you have any pictures of it done. Thinking of doing this down the road. Thanks.

It's been done, some ceramic coat it as well. Ceramic coating reflects heat but will also retain heat. I think it would work well with a killer chiller though.

I had to send it to TX and back and have it done, but I think it was less than 120 total. I'll look at my receipt when I get home next week.

My car is going turbo, but I PC'd the timing chain cover, valve covers, and lower intake manifold. Next I am doing the upper, cold pipes, and ceramic coating the hot side. Not sure if pictures do justice but it makes a world of difference. My valve covers were plasti dipped before and they looked ok, but they look amazing now.

Seems more the norm now TO paint or powder-coat engine components. When done properly, it absolutely can transform the engine bay visually. I've seen some killer work done over the years here.
