so will going to synthetic before 4000 miles hurt my engine? what would it do? i have searched the forums and i could not find anything related to this. thanks

How far do you guys that use them as daily drivers go between oil changes...3,000 - 5,000 - less than 3,000?

is there different types of mobile one? i got 5-30 but i was told to get the 5-30 that was made with specs to my truck. does that make any sense, i had never heard of that. thanks

but they are just weight differences, the addatives are all the same right.

anywhere between 3000 and 5000 - more frequently than 3000 seems like it would be a waste of money

I think if you talking about regular oil then anything like penz, moble, cast, valve, or hav. it does really matter. I was just always told that it hurts a motor to change brands all the time. Once you pick a brand they say stick with it.

If you have the Mobil1 5w30 with the blue lid on it you're fine. If you want to use a diff brand of oil every time you change it, that's fine. As long as the oil meets the API spects for your engine, most do, and you don't go crazy with the weight you use, like 20w50, you'll be fine. With the Mobil 1 5w30 and Motorcraft filter you're good to go.
