Theres two small cracks by the intake valve on one of the cylinders. So it looks like i need a new head :/ Can never be anything simple with this car.

Was this by eye or from shop?
I had a repair done between exhaust valves..crack was welded. .
it held fine...howerever some time down the road it happened again but on a different cyl..same head..
its just 1 of the problems that this engine has...
On the newest head
I just past the time and mileage that the other heads had issues..
I just hope you dont get damage from oil/water mix in block and other parts...
the shop found it. Ill post some pics in afew their pretty small cracks though. The shop didnt say anything about being able to repair it.
cyl on left is 7...crack is up spark plug threads..
on right cyl 6..was repaired between the exhaust valves...it was visual by eye.about 100k or more..
Most times they can be repaired, its all going to depend who you take it to and how much they will charge that will probably sway you to either get a new one or repair it. I dont think it would be that expensive to repair, but like he said if its doing it on that cylinder who knows if it will start in another later on.
