Okay all,

Been working on Terminators and trying to keep up with all my requests. However, in between those builds I have been working on a request for my Dad. As some of you know I built a Muscle Machines to replicate his car. He liked it so much he asked me to paint the body of a 1/12 plastic model he is working on to replicate his car.

I told him it probably would not be perfect, but I would give it a shot. Although I have been painting for year I only have limited abilities when it comes to custom airbrushing.

So, although this is not a Cobra and is not even a Ford, I wanted to share this with you guys just so you could see some other things I work on at times.

So, here is my attempt to custom paint a 1/12 plastic model to replicate my Dad's 57 Chevy............

Okay and here's the body in base coat. I'm providing comparison pictures so you can see the real car vs. my attempt (please keep in mind I said it would not be a perfect match. It's my attempt and I'm no professional).

This is base coat only and all colors are Terminator colors (i.e. OW, SY, CO and TR. Got to sneak some Ford DNA in LOL). My Dad needs to paint the chrome trim and I need to add some decals before it can be clear coated. Once the entire model is completed I'll post pictures of the completed build.

Ready to paint my new hood yet?!?!?

Sent from my SM-G950U using the svtperformance.com mobile app

LOL, if you seriously want to do it let's wait until spring time when the weather is warmer and we can give it a shot. Just remember the rule is NOT to panel paint a metallic color. So, although it will be close, when you really look hard it will not be an exact match to the rest of your car.

Up to you brother!!!

Okay All,

Was a very busy weekend for me that actually started Friday after work.

Made some progress on the OW coupe and the MC Vert. I even got started on 2 new builds that will be a SB coupe and a ZY coupe.

Here's some updated pics on the MC and OW.

The MC Vert has a couple firsts for me with clear side markers and COBRA lettering on the calipers...........

Wow great job on the 57.
They all look fantastic, as usual, but I've never seen a 1/12 scale model before. I always built 1/24 or 1/25.

Thanks 98 SVT!!! Yeah, it took me 5 hours (including drying time between coats) just to paint those flames on because it had to be done in layers in order to get the fades right.

That's a Monogram kit from the 80's. I've seen a 1/12 57 Chevy, 69 Camaro and a 63 Corvette. I have not seen too many Ford 1/12 scale models. I found this one on Ebay, but they want a pretty penny for it LOL.
