Outtie belly-buttons will now be referred to as “belly weenies”.

Alright, I post a lot of random shit on this site, but…

This is literally just me driving hot wheels cars on carpet with zero regard to physics, but with photoshop using a boat and water.

Honestly, that doesn’t even look real. How violent is that ride as a passenger?

I’ve always wondered how they know what route to take

They have a navigator. The first person footage makes it look so shockingly controlled and almost mundane.

Personally you'd need a crowbar to remove the seat cushion from me after I got out.

The turns are numbered (not sequential) and the driver / passenger both memorize the route beforehand. The passenger is obviously there as a navigator to point the driver to the next turn on the course.

For example, the route around a 10-turn course might be 7-5-2-4-8-1-3-10-5-6-9.

They have a dude riding shotgun who sticks out a knife-hand and moves it to indicate the turns. You guys never watched this on "Water Wednesdays" back in he days of Speedvision?

Hell yes i did...remember the bubbie wheeled ones?...****in nuts too

They were like 4 wheel drive things on thr same tracks

I watched the top video without sound and I’m pretty sure it’s just a boat going fast, but then fast forwarded.

That’s insane.

Is that water super shallow, and does depth have any impact on its responsiveness?

It is super shallow, which makes it all the more insane.

Pretty sure they're jet boats so they don't care much about depth. After watching a lot of open water boat racing, it's mind blowing they've got 500-800hp jet drives packed in such a small boat running such tight courses.

Correct. The water is typically 2-4’ deep and they’re jet boats. They stay planted by staying in the throttle, but the wake can become an issue part way through the run.
