I had this bike. Rode that damn thing everywhere.

I remember my sister had one nearly identical. I loved riding it because it was a bigger bike than my little BMX style bike.

That was freedom back then. They didn't have cable brakes and mine was just one gear. If you wanted to go fast you had to pedal faster. Giving the neighbor girl a ride on the Banana seat was work going up hill.

You got that right. The one gear was what built my legs up so much. We lived up a hill and I was bound and determined to ride up it all the way without stopping. Probably why I was squatting 400# when I got into high school.
