The entity of law enforcement aligns with the right. The perversion of law enforcement aligns with the left, and that is what we have now. That's why the right is so loyal to LE because the very principles of it aligns with our own. People haven't realized that it has been perverted in so many ways to do the bidding if the left, and in many cases the officers themselves fall victim to the rules that the left puts in place that they don't agree with.

You are conflating the idea of being moral and ethical with "enforcing the governments laws".

The earliest modern Western LE was the Sheriff. Just look at the most common story from the middle ages.... A lower class noble is forced to flee his home and live in the woods as an outlaw. He is hunted by the sheriff because he ....owes taxes. Taxes that are needed to pay for a war in France and secure the Kings ransom since he was captured.... That is the core of Robinhood. Richard got captured, John levied "unfair" taxes, used his sheriffs to go door to door demanding payment and people to this day talk about what a shit heel he was.

Look at the origins of the Police Uniform. This came from the English fearing a formal police force like the French Gendarmerie, which essentially are the governments "secret police" and cared more about taxes and dissent then actually "protecting" anyone. So the early British "Coppers" had to be uniformed and were not allowed to be armed.... Only a whistle. The uniform was so people knew they where in the presence of a government agent and not being "spied" on.

A true conservative model is "you protect yourself", but authoritarian governments do not like this as it threatens them. So they demand the exclusive right to use force.

Just look at all the looting and "smash and grabs" happening to major stores. Imagine if we had the legal right to defend our stores. Target could just hire some ogre security guards with clubs. Someone tries to grab a bunch of shit "whack whack whack" and throw them out on the street.

But no. The state would rather send it's law enforcers to arrest you. Then prosecutors will trump up the charges to include "hate crimes", "conspiracy" and "aggravated". And despite whatever great things about any individual officer... Not a single one is going to stop this farce. They won't call it unlawful and arrest their chief or the DA. They won't refuse to make the arrest, resign in protest... They'll follow orders.
