Being serious, we use one of those to back feed a circuit during a power outage. Kill the main power to the house, one end into the generator and one into the outlet of the circuit you want to power. Usually the kitchen. Works great.
Issue beside exposed conductors is that if you're backfeeding an outlet in the circuit you're bypassing the breaker so no OC protection. A lot safer just to throw an extra breaker in your panel, feed that and only turn on the load breakers you need (with the main off). Are you at least turning the kitchen breaker off in the panel before you use that thing?
