I knew a guy with an '02 SS. I gave him a ride in my '03 Terminator bone stock. He refused to race me. He knew he'd get raped. GM has been playing catch up for quite awhile now.

I guess thats what happens when you focus on performance over sales.
When a 1998 LS1 smokes a 2010 Mustang GT......

(heck a 2010 V6 Camaro at 300hp could take a 2010 GT, and lets not talk about 93-02, whew was that ugly)
The 380HP Blackbirds, Berger SS's Dale Earnhardt Editions, etc... were made years before the 03-04 Termi's, which cost a fortune new btw.

The 400HP LS2 GTO might have something to say about that too but who cares about those Super Grand Prix's! haha.
Bottom line, Ford is changin the image of Mustang's at redlights and its a great thing.
I love the new 5.0.

I also understand what Ford is doing with the new GT500 and the ZL1.
They can't afford to let GM pound them again.
Should be fun! :)

You are acting like GM has been beating Mustangs since the very beginning which of course isn't true. The 90's are over, GM is getting beat, badly. The GTO's were beaten by the Terminators so your mention of that holds no water. Also the "pounding" that Ford has been giving to GM is MUCH worse that what GM has ever done to Ford.

Also no new image for Ford at all with the Mustang, they are just continuing what has been happening since 2002. The new 4.6 GT's weren't slaughtered by the SS's, they were actually very close. Of course the 5.0 changed that.

And that should tell you something when a car is slower and than another but still out sells it. Plus, who cares if GM does produce something faster than Ford, it's not like the Mustang is going to be killed off.....

As far as price goes, have you seen what the top of the line muscle cars are going for nowadays? The ZL1 and GT500 are 55k and above. The Terminator was quite the bang for your buck.

I'm sorry, but Ford owners ever since the 03 cobra have had the biggest Egos out of any car owners i've ever seen, and you guys act like Ford was always on top. Sorry, but the truth is, they at some point or another 1 up each other, GM did it in the 90s, Ford is doing it now. Now enough of the little BS and post some actual funny pictures.

This one reminded them how outdated the pushrod LSx is in 2007

P.S.

My family has owned nothing but Chevy's and they have all been complete garbage. In my opinion, they never should have gotten a bail out. No offense to any one, I think its just 50/50 with G.M. products. I HATE the Dex-cool system as will. Some people I've talked to have never had any issues with there G.M.'s but all the ones my family have owned are absolute garbage. My mother had to argue with the Chevy service manager and call the corporate offices to get them to do warranty work, it was under warranty but they argued it, said it wasn't under warranty. After a month, they finally did the warranty work, but they tried to deny recalls saying there wasn't one, so we had to print out the recalls at home and bring them in. This wasn't just at one dealership either, we've been to 4 now and dealing with these people is just bullshit. Also, the manual transmission Chevy's I've driven have such a crappy feel to them. However I haven't driven any G.M.'s newer then 2005 so I.D.K. These are just my experiences so this is where my opinion of G.M. comes from. My friend had a '94 Ford Escort L.X. coupe 5spd and a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0 v6 automatic 2 wheel drive and a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 4x4 5spd, both were so nice to drive. I've ridden in a 04 (I think, I'm not sure what year it was) Mach 1 with intake and exhaust and then traded that in for a 04 S.V.T. Cobra making 700+ H.P.. Both were so effin sexy, the first time i rode in them i ....

P.S.S.
Am I alone in thinking that the new Chrysler 300's have the front end of a Audi and the rear end of Cadillac?

The 03-04 cobra also didn't come with 1/2 the stuff the new cars come with. Yes, the Shelby is an expensive mustang, but it's A LOT more car than the cobra is EVERY area.

I love the Cobra but my totally stock 1999 FRC Corvette walked a stock Cobra. Even tried a different driver in the Cobra for comparison and I still won. So the 4.6 2V or 4V still isnt up to par against a 1999 LS1!

lolwut. 98 LS1 taking out even a 3V GT. Funny guy.

Fbody SS could barely smack a 99/01 Cobra. SN95 GT was no comparison, but then again its not like the 98-02's had an equivalent model package, so hard to compare GT vs Z28/SS. Mach1 was also on par with SS performance. We wont even talk about road course performance, the SS's had about zero handling capabilities and were a straight line only car, both a 99/01 Cobra and Mach1 were good turners for their time.

You wanna bring up rarity models like the Earnhardt Intimidators and Blackbirds? Uhh......00 Cobra R much? Could also go that route with Saleen and Roush models, but we wont go into that.

Termi's cost a fortune? MSRP was $34k. What was the MSRP for a 2002 Camaro SS? $32ish? Yeah, thats a total fortune right there.....
