Not your average 98 GT

Hey guys...I've been a long time lurker on SVTP...and after getting severl PM's about my car, I think its time to post up some pics! 98GT with an 03GT Heart.

When I bought it last year (you can see my old 97 in the background):

Dear God that is an amazing SN95, inside and out.

Also, 03 Cobra lip > Mach 1 lip on everything but a New Edge GT or Mach. It looks just right.

And what did you use for the interior? Dynomat? Was it a pain in the balls to pull everything? I want to do that this winter.

I used whats called "Fatmat" and "Rattle Mat"...they sell it on ebay, and DAMN does it work. Pulling the panels and the carpet is easy...however, if you want to cover you're entire car like I did...it will take you an extremely long time. Its just tedious work...I'd guess I have at least 30 hours into the matting alone. Absolutely worth it though...the car is sooo much smoother and quieter inside.

I am a little confused. You mentioned that the car has an "03 GT heart"....yet, judging from the pics, it clearly does not.

Aside from the non-COP ingition, pre-PI alternator, and drivers-side oil neck (01+ has it on the passenger side), the engine looks like a 96-98 NPI motor.....?

Accessories all get swapped to the new motor...the entire front cover, coil packs/etc...as well as the valve covers. It still uses the 98 wiring and computer...hence the 03 gt heart.
