i think most of my traction issues were due to the cold and not having the LCA relo brackets. I cant wait to put them back on in the spring!

I'm thinking the Nitto will work better as well. I have a friend with a 640whp Paxton coyote with the 275 NOT5's(not the "R") and his car hooks up just fine from a 40 mph roll. I just want my car to hook up from a 25mph hit instead of blowing the tires off.

I have the MT's and they spun in 4th with the blower, definitely not a drag radial but a decent cheap street tire.

I have the cooper zeon's (same tire as the MT) they are made in China. not sure about the Nitto..

edit: there is zero hook with these tires if its less than 60F outside.

meltdown half way through 3rd with a MT, NA 2012 GT.

i know this is an old thread but it is already at the top so i'll comment...

i have 315/20 NT05s with a Paxton at ~620 and i'll blow the tires out from a 40 roll in 2nd and if i slam it into 3rd, i'll spin them again if i want to.

will be looking at NT05R or NT555R as a replacement tire and that will be fine. if i really want to put the power down, i have 15x10s with 275 MT ETs for those occasions.

It is all about HP. A TVS on E85 is not street tire friendly. I am headed to 15" rears in hopes of getting some street traction. My 305/45-18 555Rs are totally useless on the street. They spin at 50mph. 15" tires are dramatically less expensive also.

The only problems I've had with Street comps are when its cold and the tires are cold. Other than that there great for street driving. That said, I've spun out and ended up doing a 180 on a freeway on ramp with PS2'S on my E46M3.........

Hey guys, quick question in regards to NT05R.
My front tire is 265/35/20 Nitto 555. My rears are 305/35/20 555R but they are couple years old and i want to change them out.

I was looking at going with 315/35/20 NT05R. Question is, are they compatible with front tire that is 265 and not the usual 275?
