I don't even notice it curved anymore. they say it's better for viewing at angles.
Yeah, I read that our eyes receive picture better...I don't know about all that haha Next time, I'll probably just get another flat one.

I'm still rocking my 50" Panny Plasma from 2011, but am going to be replacing it in the near future.]
Had the same plasma...you are going to be amazed at the difference with the OLED.
My Panasonic Plasma is still kicking and eating lots of electricity.
I've got a big old Pioneer Elite too. It's my main TV. You can also seat tree people at it if you run out of table space at Tanksgiving.I still have a 65 pany plasma and an old pioneer elite that’s gotta be at least 10 years old. Both still work great and if it ain’t broke I don’t **** with it.
I also hate anything Samsung makes and would never buy there products.
Look VERY hard at Sony, they have consistently been winning the "shootouts". Sony 5-10 years ago, was meh, but now are on top again. Also from a timing perspective their latest "G" series are just coming out, so you can get the latest model. Buy the best you can. As you move up the line the video processing gets better, which is CRUCIAL especially in a larger panel. The master series are incredible (both OLED and fully array LED)

I have two samsung 65 inch 8 series TVs. Absolutely the best. Go stare at best buys giant wall of tvs. Blacks and contrast make and break your Tv experience. I wasnt sure on the extra coin for an 8 series vs 6 till i saw it in person. Swipe that credit card. Lol.
I went with the 65" LG OLED instead of something bigger in LED. Watching something in HDR or Dolby Vision is unreal, you won't regret it. Keep an eye out for sales on the LG too. I bought mine around November last year so that model TV was done at the end of the year, got a decent discount on it.
I'm a bit of a TV snob (look back through old TV threads I'm sure I posted in most of them). I thought I'd never like a TV better than my 65VT60 Panasonic Plasma and then OLED finally came along. I have a 77" LG C8 OLED and it is amazing. Like @colin450 posted above, HDR/Dolby Vision is awesome on it. I have it in my media room and mainly watch movies and sports on it. There's a reason it's the best picture CNET ever tested.
Where are you finding these cheap OLED tvs? Also, its rare to find an OLED tv under 55".He got it after we put a cheap 42" LG OLED in the shop as a shop TV.
I was standing in the store ready to buy the Samsung and then looking at the LG that was 4" bigger at a cheaper price I got it instead. The LG OLED 4K is amazing. Way better than I could imagine. It was 6X" for less than $700.

Just google which actually looks better then you will know why OLED is more $$$.
Basically QLED is a step up from LED. OLED is at the top. To me QLED is a gimmick aka not the real mccoy. Its clever how samsung's marketing has used the Q which looks like an O. Can't beat the real deal though.
My cheap ass is just waiting for the 65" OLED tvs to go under $1k. Getting impatient now
