Had been tossing around the idea going '13-'14 Shelby for awhile. I still wasn't sure I wanted to drop $45-$50k down for a weekend / show car. And then I would still have to mod it in some way shape or form, more $$$.

In July, I got a call from a friend who located this car. I drove 6 hours one way to check it out.

After a compression check, full inspection, clean tittle and carfax, I still tried to discredit buying it and couldn't.

The car is a 2011 Kona Blue w/Performance Pack option
Bone Stock, except for the JLT catch cans. No evidence of being modded and then returned back to stock.
No dings, dents, micro marring in the paint or faded and cracked trim pieces.
52,000 miles.

Kona Blue in person is just stunning. It is one of those colors that I think looks 100% better with no stripes. It's not a 13/14, but at the price will still do what I want it to do for a fraction of newer car cost. I also prefer the gearing in the '11-'12s over the '13/'14

My power goals are probably conservative to most, but I am just looking for a reliable 650rwhp / 600rwtq on the street. I may surpass that goal by a little.

All of my parts are finally here so I can move forward. I'll keep this thread updated as I progress in the next 3 weeks with the car.

These are pictures just as the car looked when I showed up to see it. Poor cell phone quality though.

Last week tinted the windows, switched wheels out and dropped in the tails.

God damn I'd say you did well on that, unless I missed something those cars were still selling for mid 30's when I got my GTPP. 28 grand sounds like average 07-09 prices.

I'd say you'll exceed 650whp with the VMP unit and the look of the pulley size. I made 657whp with the TVS your taking off, a 1.4 pulley, JLT intake, and a VMP 67mm TB. Used a boost a pump, and the factory 56lb injectors from a 13/14, in a '10 GT500. So by virtue of the bigger cams, and displacement in yours I'd guess you'll exceed that.
Regardless beautiful car, congrats!

I assume the car is an 11/12.

Kona Blue was dropped in 13, the wheels aren’t a 13/14 PP wheel, he mentioned adding the taillights, appears that it has a different splitter than 13/14, and the upper and lower grilles look like they have the earlier model honeycomb in place.

Edit: rear panel, possibly different valence in rear, and the blower as well are all indicators of pre-13

Congrats OP, you never can go wrong with a GT500s, I've had 4 of them. As others have stated, Gen2R, twin 67mm T/B, intake, OFR X pipe, bigger injectors and maybe a BAP and you'll be north of 650whp.

Correct, it's an '11. Edited my original post

I sold my white one because I went in for knee surgery, and was unemployed for 6 months
White, is way to vanilla for me after having SY and CO Cobras.
But this Kona Blue though....lol

Great looking GT500 and congrats. I love that Kona Blue color too and wish Ford would have kept it as an option color on the 13/14.

Revisiting the thread - car looks even better with the Alcoa’s! Bravo.

Where’d you snag it from?
