That reminds me of all the SVTP party like a rockstar nights at Mustang week. Miss those events.. Also, I’ll be ordering a hat very shortly myself. My SVTP zip up sweatshirt is still holding strong and is fantastic quality, I do need new shirts though

Kidding aside, How much liberty do we have with Ford Travis as far as IP and likenesses? It's always been a can of worms, but I assume they'd at minimum want a good cut, but we've got so many creative people that I'd imagine could make some great graffic tees or posters to "fill this niche" and help the store. Ive heard Google Addsence got reworked and aparently hasn't been paying well. And same for youtube from what local friends who do youtube are saying, neither would be good for this site.
But without even being Ford specific I figure we have nearly a quarter century of epic threads that are free of most of it, that could be hilarious meme tees or posters.
From 4th gear specialist, +65000, looks like a solstice, brown recluse, pizza coupons, to putting obscure breads on your vehicle to prove authenticity.
Could be more margin there too, as I assume screen printing likely can be done much cheaper depending on what it's on.
Cheaper ones that you can wear while working on stuff that basicly helps the site could be neat. I figure simple "go" quality only black or white print just for working shirts that if they get messed up too bad you support the site more (like a 5 pack of under shirts), and a "Show" quality for one you wear that will last. May be putting the cart before the horse on that, just an idea as I lay here, as it could be the meds talking as I'm posting from my hospital bed too. (Surgery went well)
For most of us while the initial lure was SVT, we're all still here because of the platform, this forum (and the efforts to keep it's charms, freedoms, and essentially our community's small town feel and soul) and the people are why we stay*. Not including the Memes or other infamous threads NWS LOL or wifes and GF threads that have been going for decades and we are spoiled by. But again you go anywhere in the nation and members will be there and help you out. Even after going round after round in smackdown.
I see the merch like a way of supporting my home team.
BUT If we can make it popular even to outsiders, that's just gravy ontop of the bread and butter that keeps the pixels fed.

Thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad everything went well for you. I'll be traveling this week to be with my Dad while he has surgery in Cleveland. Hospitals are not fun.
Ad revenue has fallen off a cliff across the board. It's effected everything internet based. In all the years I've run the site, the past 6 months are the worst I've ever seen. Especially Christmas. That's why you're seeing a slew of massive layoffs in the tech/media sectors. Anything that relies on advertising for revenue is hurting.
When it comes to shirt, quality isn't that expensive. On a per item basis you're only talking $3-5 more for a much better quality piece. All the other costs (setup, printing, taxes, fees, shipping, etc) remain about the same. I'm always open to new designs, so if anyone wants to throw something out there I'll see what I can do. I do have access to Ford licensing.
I'm working on a few things especially for Premium Members, so keep your eye out for that stuff in the near future. As for the SVTP community. I'm working on an idea to bring it into the real world in an interesting an memorable way. More on that soon as well.
I'd like to get a black hat with the red SVT and the P in something other than white. Look great!

How will the process go for getting a 5950 fitted hat made with the SVTP logo?
I'm working on getting all the pre-orders together this week. Depending on popularity, a lot of the options are probably going to disappear in the next few days. We simply can keep that kind of variety in stock. So if you see something you like, now is the time to order. There's a good chance it'll be unavailable in the next week or so.
