New Shoes for the termi

So after all these years, I retired from the military and want to replace the old chrome FR500s on the car. Trying to find something new, maybe move up to a 18 from my old 17s. Any suggestions out there. Thanks

The same thought crosses my mind often. I'd love to get some new wheels, but I can't seem to get away from the good ol' stockers. I'm in for some wheel ideas too....I GUESS

I've tossed around the idea of just checking chrome FR500 offsets again but in a 18, thought about going all black? Thought of chrome 18 bullets? Just looking for something new and probably ditch the drag radials and put on street tires so I can take up in the mountains and not worry every time there is some water run off or gets cold.

Don't do bullets, they just don't look right on a cobra. SVE or Lmr offer reasonably priced good looking wheels. Now that your retired, and thank you for your service, you can go all out go with custom forged wheels, True Forged or CCW.

They actually are very reasonably priced. Go to the LMR site and search Series 2 wheels. You'll be very surprised.

So I contacted several dealers and they say the widest tire they offer for that 18x10 rim is the 285 35 18 but I see a lot of yal got bigger, I want to stay as wide as my 315 35 17

I think depending on the tire it can be about the same width. I put 285/35/18's on the rear of our 06 and I swear they were the same width as my 315/35/17's. They were both Nitto G2's.

So I called around and the biggest Nitto G2 I found was the 295 40 18 . I was thinking putting 275 40s on the front and 295s on the rear. According to the calculator I would lose some width and gain a little height.
