After reading on the site for the past few years and learning more about these gt500's I finally have my own. It's a 2010 with 8850 miles. I picked it up for 36k it was sitting at the dealer since last October and was originally listed for 40990. I'm pumped to say the least... it's bone stock and staying that way for now until I get bored with it, honestly a pulley and tune is all I can do for now when its time. I have a 87gt FoxBody track car with a dart 331 vortech ysi blown that goes 8.9's @ 150+ on 275 radials which eats up most of my money lol. Besides the 1st to 2nd grind on some of these whats the other major issues to address first? Thanks for all the advice fellas..

Can anyone tell me the must do upgrades to a bone stock shelby

That's the great thing about a Shelby GT500, there's nothing you MUST do but plenty you can do depending on how much you want to spend and how fast you want to go. I would say get an MGW shifter for starters and a ford racing 113 CAI and a tuner. 373's are nice too

Congrats, love the color combo.

I'd make Drag Radials your first mod. Stock tires are garbage.

If I had to do it over again, i might just go:
1. drag radials
2. MGW (just ordered one tonight)
3. TVS

Will give you 600+ rwhp, traction, and the ability to shift into 2nd :)

Heat Exchanger would be 4th mod.

Hopefully you don't have the 1-2 shift issue. It really is a bummer. Hope my MGW (and a fluid change) cures it. It really is the only negative I can think of with these 11-12's.
