Finally got all the pieces sitting in my closet thrown in the cobra this past month, then got up to Performance Dyno on saturday to tune her in...
BF 2.93 upper w/all 4 BF Idler pulleys + Gates Greenstripe Belt
K&N FIPK gen2
NGK TR6's
MM Alum Steering Rack Bushings (needed an all new power steering rack!)
BF IRS Brace
Stage1 FPDM w/Kenne Bell BAP
SCT Xcal2 Tuned, results are...
medynojx0.th.jpg

1st Run, 452hp/446tq, 2nd Run 450hp/448tq, air fuel at an even 12
Not too shabby at all, registered at 13.3 lbs of boost with a 2.93. Dan (silver10th) did all the install work (minus the BAP, Pete installed that at the Dyno), Pete did the tuning, big thanks to both of you guys!!!
Already got a 2.76 pulley on the way, and hopefully a ported blower is in the near future. VERY happy with the new numbers, all I was looking for was for better numbers than the stock Shelby.

If you want the car to pull real hard in 1st and 2nd, then get a
Metco 4 # lower set up. Makes tons of torque.
2.76 upper only 458/470 at RW
2.93/4#lower 463/518 at RW

I wish I could, that was the original plan, but after finding out my engine had been replaced at 8900 miles and they had stripped the crankshaft bolt or something rather down there and the lower pulley will NOT come off, then I'm stuck with working off of my upper pulley only...unfortunately

i heard its a reverse thread or whatever, but thats not the issue, the whole problem is that the bolt is stripped. basically would have to break apart the entire engine to get the thing out, thats a project that i just don't have the cash to get into.

pete, what should a 456 rwhp cobra trap? 114 is what my dads 03 is trapping. clutch is new (dfx) i still cant get it into the 11's! it seems the clutch shocks the tires too hard for the short sidewall.

Pete, I haven't been to the track yet this year because I need to get
my PPRV repair done. The hesitation is bad at WOT, so not going up
until I fix the PPRV.
What do you think about putting on my 2.76 upper pulley with my
4 # lower? Ken

my car ran 11.772 @ 119.11 when it was at 451rwhp/465rwtq. intake/exhaust/2.76 pulley/tune from pete. that was on a good set of bfg drag radials with a 1.70 60'

Driving is definately a big part to the equation... Here are some of my #'s for reference purposes (which just goes to show it's not only the power that matters)

436 rwhp - 11.93 / 116 (i think)

499 rwhp - 11.68 / 119 mph

Not much better for +63 ponies...

Keep at it.
