New FTBR S-550 Subframe and Diff Bushings Now Available!

In case you have not seen our other posts regarding our components for the
new IRS, we had ZERO NVH increase with all of our IRS components installed
on our R&D vehicle with the exception of the diff insert bushings. After
they were installed, we then saw a 2db increase of a somewhat annoying
diff gear whine at high freeways speeds and there was some gear
backlash clunking, But we were able to subdue those noises with some Dynamat applied
to the subframe and we also foamed the hollows of the subframe with Great
Stuff. You can still hear the backlash but it's much more tolerable now,
as is the whine. And because of how much it stabilizes the differential,
we believe it's a small price to pay.

The new parts can be found on our S-550 order page:

Removing the IRS is actually a fairly easy job as demonstrated by the video below. Hopefully
this video will prevent people from being intimidated from doing this job.

Here is a video we shot of the removal of the S-550 IRS from the chassis:

did y'all do a video for the diff bushing inserts? just wondering how bad that install is.

We did not do a installation video for the diff bushing inserts.

The subframe doesn't need to be removed to install the inserts, but it does need to be lowered from the car. All of our parts do include installation instructions.
