Over Memorial Weekend, I was offered a deal that I couldn't pass up on; a 2018 Charger Daytona aka the land yacht.

I was planning on purchasing a 2017 Mustang PP 6 speed, but preferred the Charger. I know it won't be a popular opinion here, but for me it was a more fun car stoplight to stoplight than the Mustang. For the size, it's damn fun in the canyons. The ZF transmission is absolutely awesome so far.

Bought the wife a new daily. She had been racking miles up on her ST and we have been talking about a mustang. Base ecoboost 2018. Fun little car and she loves it which is a that matters

Nothing wrong with this over a '17 GT PP. Especially considering it's an SRT. But curious, why was this on your list but not the 6R80 GT?

I love the new chargers. I’ve been contemplating one but can’t convince myself. Congrats!

Good choice. I just picked up a Hellcat Charger a few weeks ago and could not be more pleased. Considered a ‘17 ZL1, GT350, ‘14 GT500 and another CTS-V. I asked my almost 9yr old son which he wanted and he decided. I have not looked back and it is worth every penny. I have to thank Dodge and their marketing dept for putting me in this position too. My son has wanted a Hellcat since the first Predators commercial.

No ****s given about the weight either. I don’t autocross on my way to work like some claim on here so all I needed was something comfortable and brutally fast. Mission accomplished. And you’re right about the 8sp especially in Track mode. Feels like your getting kicked in the back on every shift. Love it.

That car is beautiful!

But, why were you cross shopping an 18' Charger with a '17 Mustang? Do you not like the looks of the '18 or something?

I personally think an 18 Mustang GT PP with magnetic ride and the 10R80 will be a badass car; can't wait to get a used one for 1/2 price in 3-4 years lol.

Badass car man! The new Mopar's have came such a long way. I love my Challenger Hellcat. I am in love with that interior on your car. I love the retro seats. I didn't even know they made that pattern.

Best of luck.

Now that’s a great looking Charger. Great color and really good looking wheel/brake package.

Thank you - Destroyer Gray is one of my favorite colors on these.

I was considering it, actually. The one that I wanted priced out was quite a bit more than what I ended up with, so that heavily influenced my decision. Also, I really don't like buying new cars and didn't want to wait a while to find a used one.

Congrats - I also feel like Dodge is in a league of their own for marketing right now. Absolutely killing it.

The Mustang was a default option for me when looking for a new daily. I've had 6 Mustangs in the past, so naturally it came up for me to consider.

The seats are amazing in it, way better than the standard Scat Pack seats IMO.
