I'll over analyze some more... The underside looks a little crusty, but the motor looks pretty darn clean. Anyone steam clean or pressure wash it? Possible that some moisture got into the harness on the MAF? The coolant crossover plug and the strut mount threads are what led to my theory this time. lol I just find it hard to believe that someone would do all the standard mods plus LT's and injectors and then reflash the stock tune on it before letting go of the car. What does a used SCT X4 (as an example) go for these days? $2-300? Big deal in the end. And if it came from a dealer, nobody took it out for a joyride while it was there? Doot duh doot duh dooo Inspector Gadget over here
The injectors have accell on one side of the top and 48 on the other. I can't find any info that matches that though. Shouldn't these be EV6 injectors?I wonder if those are Accel injectors? It would be worth pulling one and getting the part number off of it.
This is my thought process, he pulled the easy stuff and left the rest. There were holes in the trim around the shifter, looked like three switches and three LEDs that were removed and I see no wiring under it ( I replaced the holey trim already). I think the previous owner installed upgraded parts and tossed the old. The car had over $200 of billet aluminium interior pieces, which I hate, that were easy to replace that were left on for the trade. I want to track down as much as I can, so I can build a list and make decisions from there. You guys have been a great help. I got a good deal on this car, but it is slowly adding up on things I have to replace making me worry. Some people want to hold on to the tuner they have. I've unlocked the tuner and kept for the last couple cars I got rid of. Partially because it was my tune that was on there. Putting it mostly back to stock isn't that big of a reach. Lots of people pull parts before trading in. At least the easy stuff. A blower and intake? Sure. Long tubes, probably not. But you also don't know the situation. Maybe the PO was getting ready for something and had to get rid of the car.
I knew a mechanic at a local dealer a while ago. His dealerships standard practice was to flash back to stock as soon as the car was signed over. I cringed as one of the Cobras that was on the lot had an aftermarket MAF and injectors. He just shrugged his shoulders and said it's what he has to do.
As for how the car runs, hopefully it's just because of the aftermarket parts and no tune. I do remember before I got one of my old cars dialed in it would fall on it's face at WOT. It was so rich there was just black smoke pouring out of the tailpipes.
I looked all in the trunk and don't see anything that doesn't belong and no evidence of wiring that wasn't removed. Is there any way to check for upgraded fuel pumps without dropping the has tank?OP don't get down on the car. Give it some good TLC, a little goes along way.
I'd suggest like others have mentioned and get it tuned before anymore pulls are made, stay out of boost until then.
Did you pull the trunk liner on the drivers side to see if there is any upgraded fuel components, such as a boost-a-pump? That's where I had mine.

I looked for a BAP and holes in the trunk and didnt see any signs of anything being there. Any idea what the injectors are rated at?I'd say if they fit they'll work. But I did some quick research and apparently that's the older style injector. Some people reported problems with them. Not trying to be a downer, just reporting what I've seen. If you really want to be sure you can send them off to get cleaned and flowed. I want to say there's a guy named Eric Barr that does them for an awesome price and I haven't heard anything bad about him.
Was there a red box next to the FPDM in the trunk? If so that would be a Boost A Pump. I'm with 03cobra on the nitrous switches. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. You might see some extra holes drilled into the trunk floor for lines and brackets.
Don't get discouraged. It sounds like you have a good foundation to make the car what you want.

Your best bet would be to call Accel and get the info. If you can get the data it might not be a bad idea to have on hand for your future tuner.I looked for a BAP and holes in the trunk and didnt see any signs of anything being there. Any idea what the injectors are rated at?
