I still do not think the voodoo revs much faster than a coyote, and i thought that was supposed to be a benefit of the FPC.
yes i've read some of these, it seems GM is doing it properly (if they stay together)Ford had to sacrifice many of the advantages a FPC offers over a CPC from design to production. There are a some very informative video and articles that detail it out. A couple of the significant tradeoffs were rotating assembly mass and firing order vs. a typical FPC V8.
It will be interesting to see what this C8 actually comes to market with. GM certainly has a big benefit of being able to extensively race test a likely close relative to the road going version. You can bet there is a lot of data sharing happening between the race and production teams.
