More progress today. Almost time to start putting stuff back on!

Threaded the damper bolt in a bit and put the puller on that and she popped off no problem. Removed the oil cooler and filter plate, and got the timing cover off as well.

Everything all loaded up ready to make a 99 cobra much faster!

Also dropped the tank and removed the hat and fuel pumps. But I cannot for the life of me get my fuel line disconnect tool to work. It wont "seat" all the way I think because of the bend in the line as it goes into the hat. Any tips?

Turbo kit and fuel system showed up yesterday as well. Pictures of those to come.

I've used the plastic fuel disconnect tools with much success on these cars. Maybe that metal one isn't deep enough?

I just finished a turbo build similar to yours. I would suggest deleting the EGR. It really cleans things up under the hood. You made a good decision with keeping you balancer on there, and don't cut out any wiring harnesses. Just zip tie them up and out of the way.

I will be deleting EGR. Im assuming that means I can delete most of the vac lines leading to the drivers side of the blower that I posted in the first post?

Waiting anxiously for pics of the on3 kit :rolling:

Pics will come tomorrow morning. Too tired from the weekend to unbox everything now. I ended up getting $3300 for all my eaton swap. After flipping a mustang gt last week I should have essentially a net investment of $0 after this whole turbo build is done:rolling:

Wow that's damn good, how long did it take to sell? I was only expecting around 2k for all my eaton stuff but ~3k would be awesome.

Worked a couple hours today as well. Ran into a little bit of a snag though. Was putting on my 99 timing cover. Put on new gaskets, spread some rtv where necessary, and placed my 99 timing cover in place. Started hand threading bolts into their respective places and boom. One bolt just hit nothing. Take a look inside the hole, and there is nothing but a flat metal surface there. This is the only bolt where that happened. The one sticking out right to the right and just below the water pump.

What gives? Did the design change in 01 and no one told me? Should I go pick up a 01 or 03-04 mach 1 timing cover? Or should I just say **** it, RTV the hole and move on?

Anyways, heres some pictures of the kit and fuel system right out of the boxes. Looks to be pretty nice quality piping. Hopefully it fits as good as it looks!

Its like christmas morning!

Also got the stock manifolds off today. Apparently to get the new headers to fit with the k member still in the car you have to remove a few of the studs. Hopefully they don't round off as they appear to have a very small hex head.

For the alternator I took off the back cover and then the voltage regulator. Then I think it's 3 or four long bolts to get the housing apart. You'll need to pry it apart but after that your good. I had my intake manifold powdercoated Krinkle black so I used the vht wrinkle spray paint which turned out awesome.

on3 stuff looks good so far, hopefully the install goes nice and easy. If you have an issue getting the studs off just double nut them. They shouldn't be too hard to take out.

On your timing cover, Just silicone the hole up. When doin a eaton swap with the 03 cover on a mach or 99-01 cobra you have to silicone the hole same thing here.

Cool. Should I rtv the old bolt-hole in the block (That is now covered by the timing cover) as well or just the hole in timing cover? Or both?

Little progress today. Hopefully some progress tomorrow and then maybe a full day of work on the car on friday. Put together my divisionX fuel hat. Instructions from divisionX left a lot to be desired, but whatever.

Dumb question, with lethals return fuel system and all the AN fittings, are you guys using teflon tape on the threads everywhere? I would worry that this could lead to clogged components

Onto the pics
