I thought the '94-'98 Mustang was the low point on the design ladder. The New Edge that came in '99 was quite a bit of an improvement. However the S-197 body style that came out in '05 is the best looking since the '69 IMO.

 :coolman:

Middle aged? Me? I don't feel middle aged. I guess at 42 I am though. I agree with your point though. I don't think they will be worth big money anytime soon. Consider this though, all the 60's musclecars that are so highly sought after now weren't worth the steel they are made out of in the mid 70's. My brother sold his 67 GT500 for about $2200 in 1976 with 13k miles on it. I hope the theory of low production holds true. There were only 3750 or so Lightnings made in 04'.
I don't feel middle age either, Here's my '67. I purchase in '98

Nice car. I still love the old Shelby's and of course the 67 is the ultimate. Many people don't know they do not say Shelby on them. Just GT500/350 badges. You bought at a good time. After the 80's price increase but before the current high water marks. Funny to see so many new enthusiasts that are not familiar with the originals. I hope to finish my clone in the near future so my brother can drive it. I know he misses his a bunch. With a sideoiler and a 4 speed it should run pretty good. Maybe teach my 08' a thing or two about acceleration.........
