Friend of mine is working on his rig shots and we finally got together for some.

Wanted to shoot at a local airport, but they closed operations down before we got there.
Hopefully we can get together for a shoot there. We ended up going to someones driveway and shooting there after getting permission.

3rd one the editing could use some work and it's a little too much blur for my tastes, but good pics nonetheless. Car looks great!

Great pics. lol love the plate!
The last plate didn't go with the car well, but this one will go with anything.

Jesus I got dizzy looking at those, but they are pretty cool for the .5 seconds I looked.
Cause we were FLYIN'

Any tips that I can pass along? He's still perfecting everything.

Thanks man. The tag gets the laffs.

Rig shots? Just takes a lot of time and the right parts.
Oh and that expensive camera and the time to edit the pictures.
Not for me. LOL

I need to think of a good tag for my 15.

My girls got the camera and since she goes to school, she's got more free time than me, aka she can do the editing. hehehehe

Me working 60+ hours a week I don't have the time to devote to it. How long did it take to set the rig up?

These shots took 2 hours.
More shots were taken though. We did another shot that didn't really pan out. Just experimenting.

Figure out the location of the camera, mount the suction cups, position the boom, set the camera, then roll or pull the car.
Several shots were taken. Some 8 seconds, some 3 seconds and then merged into one photo.

I love rig shots! Looks like he used a long boom. I have always wanted to build one, just haven't yet.
