Well crap...I don't think I'll be able to make this. I am 99.9% sure that we are moving everything back down that weekend and moving into our place the 19th.

Guess you need to change your plans for moving :poke:

You will need some time to relax anyways!

Less than a week away, just thought I would see who is in!

Plan is to meet between 9-10am at the North End of Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino! If you need directions, let me know.

We will leave Prairie Meadows around 10am to head to the Iowa Speedway, If you want my Cell Phone # shoot me a PM

Sounds like a plan. Unfortunately, my buddy can't make it, but my fiance will ride along!

I tried getting advanced tickets, but my Iowa Speedway Account is locked and it seems no one is ever available to talk to a representative. I know it's only $5 cheaper to get in advance, but I'm wondering how the dash plaques and goodies work. They said those who are the first 300 registered get some free stuff, so I wonder if that means tickets bought or first 300 at the door.

If I ever get a chance to talk to someone, I will ask and post it here! But now it's back to the shed to get out the clay bar. Hope no one minds I wasn't able to get my boot cover here...blah, things didn't work out on Ebay that scum!

I thought about pre-registering, but I wasn't quite sure how it would work and if they would have to send out a ticket. My luck is that it wouldn't show up and I would be out that $20.

I washed the car last night, gonna go out tonight and clean up the wheels and tires and start to wipe the interior. I am not getting super carried away this time!

I finally got a hold of the Iowa Speedway ticket office. They are open until 5pm Friday, and 3pm Saturday, so there's still some time to pre-register.

Also, if you're one of the first 300 to register you get a dash plaque and some other goodies I guess. The process was pretty straightforward, just give them your name and debit/credit card number and your good to go. You pick up everything at the show.

I'm actually getting carried away, but it's actually my normal fall detail anyways. I do spring detail and fall detail. I clay barred the car, polished, now working on glazing and waxing. Then it's interior and engine. It all needed to get done anyways so I figured why not do it before the show. I like to do all that stuff before it sits in the shed over winter, and then when I get bored over winter I just go pull the cover off the car and can wax it without having to rewash and stuff. Then it's all good to go the first nice day when spring hits.

Had a good time yesterday, even though I had to take the car out on the wet pavement.

Because of the Weather only 4 of us braved it, but still had fun. Car count was low at the show, I think they only had about 100 cars and they were expecting over 300.

I think I am going to try and make this an annual thing that you can pretty much plan on! If I can get enough cars, we may even start to meet a little earlier and we can hit up the Prairie Meadows Breakfast Buffet before we head up to the speedway. Going through the Tunnel into and out of the track is FUN!

__

Landon, Got an email back from the guy with the Grey GT500 and that was him, he said he got there late and left early!

Yeah that's a blast, best part of it all.

Hope everything works out in the future to keep growing with this...breakfast at Prairie Meadows would be fun. Too bad that guy couldn't go with us with the GT500. Maybe next year we'll invite the lady with the lime green sticker Mustang! Or the lady with the V6 that's going to get "all souped up".

At least you can see the lime green coming from a mile (or 100) away!

Yeah, v6 lady seemed to be just a little off!

I am def. already looking forward to next year and hoping the weather is better, seems to be my luck though. Yesterday was my daughters 1st birthday and was supposed to be nice early in the week, then it was supposed to be a chance of showers, and it pretty much ended up raining all damn day!

That would be her! I do believe it was a legit V8 GT though, so at least it had that going for it. I don't normally hate on cars, but that was kind of overkill rice, but if she likes it...then eh!

Yea if she put a good exhaust on it maybe it will level the car out.
