sorry to see that. I used to travel to Calgary yearly, always enjoyed my time there. I was stuck in the Texas hill county wildfire a few years ago. It was scary, I really felt powerless to do anything. Hope the weather helps you guys out up there and it ends soon.

Saw this on the news. Scary and sad. I can only imagine the fear and heartbreak of residents caught in the wildfires and being forced to evacuate, leaving everything behind. Those videos really portray the magnitude of fire damage. Wow!

For the sake of the fire victims I sure hope that Canadian insurance companies are better regulated and better funded than America insurance companies.

It would be beyond cruel if the homeowners that were burned out got a letter in the mail saying that their insurance carrier either simply won't pay or are declaring bankruptcy.

Massive fires in Fort McMurray, Alberta. 88,000 people evacuated.

I'm not sure if you guys have heard of the devastating fires in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
They have been burning for days now, and the town of 88,000 people has been completely evacuated, but sadly most pets were left behind. :nonono:
Over 1,600 homes have already been burned to the ground, and the fire is still going strong.
The people of Alberta and Canada are really pitching in with donations and support, and fireman from as far away as Mexico have been flown in to battle the fire.
