Yeah you probably know everyone on the site. My list has probably sold over a billion cds combined while your's is barely known. Looks like the only garbage there is is whats coming out of your mouth.

they have sold billions because the audience loves dumbed down shit they can sing along to.

the "no name" artists as you call them, are seriously where the lyrical talent is at.

Jay-Z and Joe budden said it the best

" I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars"

"Use to try to take the average rap fan show em shit
But if they closed minded who am I to open it?"

So congrats VENOMOUS, you should feel special.:lol1:

Rap music has gone to shit IMO, and its all I use to listen to.

In my personnal opinion Tupac was the best, famious Rapper yet. I know alot of people say thats corny because everybody says Tupac is the best, but that ought to tell you something.

The man could just write some badass lyrics. Heres an example.

Another thing I really like about Tupac is he didn't always just rap about dumb, meaningless shit. He would many times rap about things that meant something to him and it was like he really was trying to get a point across. I don't agree with everything he was rapping about, but I always thought that it was cool that he was trying to tell you something, and I guess I kind of respected him for it. He was very intelligant, well spoken, and just a cool person, and that also probably makes people like him. It seem like most rappers only rap about how much money they have and how many biatches they've been with. Heres another example.

I use to also really like Outkast, Trick Daddy, 8ball & MJG, Juvenile, Snoop, I liked Master P's Getto D, etc.

lil wayne plain and simple can not rap, he has serious issues with his lyrics here is a prime example this line here when I heard it instantly made me say WTF is he talking about.

"I'm a venereal disease like a menstrual bleed
Threw the pencil and leak the sheet of the tablet in my mind
Cause I don't write shit cuz I ain't got time"

Look out for a rapper named b.o.b
He is signed to t.i's grand hustle IMO he is the Lupe Fiasco of Atlanta.

He is a real dude, does not portray something he is not. I have been listening to his mixtape for the past month nonstop.

YouTube - B.o.B "Generation Lost"

That was good. Ive heard a few of b.o.b's songs being played on sirius lately.

How the M-O-B-B has yet to be mentioned is beyond me:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfVSKnpMTb4]YouTube - mobb deep shook ones[/ame]

Inspectah Deck kills it on this one: Wu-Tang Clan - Triumph
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8RD5xheKdc&feature=related]YouTube - Triumph[/ame]

Possibly one of the best B.I.G. songs:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQoMTy8TT-U]YouTube - notorious big - warning[/ame]

KRS, Run-DMC, Talib, Common, Nas, GZA, Rakim...East Coast is hard, damn hard, to beat. To even compare Lil' Wayne and the like to them is blasphemy. They are all good in their own right. I dig Bun-B, but don't think he holds a candle to some of these mentioned.

West Coast can still lay claim, however, to gangsta rap(IMO) - without a doubt. Snoop, Mack 10, Ice Cube, Dre...

Imagine being Grandmaster Flash and laying down a track that would forever influence rap. Would be a good time to burn one...
