Uhhh, I care about Gen 3's cuz I own one. :) Even if the Gen 1 and 2's are a tad quicker and offer a stick, the 3's still sound WAAAAAAAAYYYYY more bitchin (no comparison there) and they're a lot more rare. Gen 2's are almost commonplace and I still see more 1's driving around than I do other Gen 3's. :D

a little late to the SHO (hahah.. get it.... dumb).... but here is my old Shogun....i sold it a while ago (like 5 years)...the guy i sold it to used it in the one lap of america, then just sold it about 7 months ago.... not sure who has it now... it is currently supercharged though, so it has over 300hp...

they only made 7 or 8 of them total.... jay leno still has his, there is a guy in colorado who has a purple one, a guy in Nebraska has the #1 blue one and a guy in NJ had the yellow one..... I lost track of the other 3-4....

I've had a ride in the purple one here in CO. I met the guy last year at a track event and he took me for a ride during a session. Now I've got to return the favor when I get my motor built. It was a fun little car. I still talk to the guy on e-mail every now and again.

i forget his name... Jim Byrnes or something like that.... nice guy. I talked to him on the phone about them..i knew he tracked his. He wanted to sell it for an NSX but apparently hasn't yet.

I would have probably kept mine if i had it to do over, but it broke a slave cylinder and it was some goofy thing from a dunebuggy that the Ford Dealer couldn't locate.... so i sold it broken to a friend of Chuck Beck (the guy who built them originally). He knew all of the parts so it was easy for them to find.

Yep, that's his name. He is a nice guy. He seemed surprised that my Friend and I knew so much about his car. Sorry to hear you had to sell the car because of a hard part to locate. I'm having a hard time locating parts for my engine rebuild and it sucks!

I agree. I was just wondering because I've yet to see a whole lot of power out of those motors.

How bout 415whp and 379ft-lbs @ 14psi on a stock longblock.

The stock crank withstood 1400HP before twisting and the block held 1600HP all while running 6s @ over 200mph in a TT RWD late model cougar. Not bad for your mommy's Taurus' motor.
