It is debatable. If they were the best turbos made, why then is precision the turbo company holding the most records in drag racing?

Anyways, the thread is already all over the place enough.

This kook's kit seems a good quality kit.

Precision

Thats what I hear too. Still think its going to be the best twin kit out there. I would just have to upgrade to the ball bearing version.

There is a reason why Garrett supplies most of the OEM Turbo's in the market.

Those last years and years.

As far as the rest of the "Who's better" arguement,

Once you start getting away from stock applications, upping boost, putting kits together any turbo can and will fail.

Doesn't negate the fact that Garrett is probably the best built.

oem turbos dont see the same abuse as the aftermarket turbos do and oem setups are just better engineered and have alot more r&d than the best of the best aftermarket turbo kit.

Then again If you don't think that the Turbo on a 3500 cummins pulling 16K for 120,000 miles has not seen a vast amount of abuse you'd probably be mistaken.

I agree with bench racer. Garret's are def more reliable than Precisions. Precisions make more power when comparing similar turbos but they most certainly are more tempermental. And forget about the Journal bearing turbos. Those are just an accident waiting to happen. They're safe if you keep then < 5psi

Are you implying that garrett's are used on cummins? They use Holset.

I know, reserected an old thread, but still....this comment made me chuckle a bit. For the record, I am on the top 20 list for this kit. Been waiting forever.

the kit is 2-3 months out.

the manifolds are done, just getting set up for the final machining.

here is a pic from over on YB

the kit will have 57lb injectors standard with id's available as an upgrade. The 57's are the same as the production 13 GT500's.

Note in bold. That was posted January 2014. It's October now, still nothing. Darn it!

Are you sure those aren't a picture of the Fluid headers because that looks a **** ton lot like their logo. Hmmmm re reading the thread again it looks like I might be mistaken. I thought those were the Kooks headers for the Armageddon kit. My mistake.
