Thanks for proving me right. def number 2 is EXACTLY what I said only using different words. if you can explain how "when you don't know or understand the potential consequences of a choice you make, it's a mistake." is different that definition #2" we can have a conversation. EVERYONE knows and understands the risk of street racing, EVERYONE knows that people have been killed street racing. so they can't claim, faulty judgement, inadequate knowledge or inattention. it's a ****ing choice not a mistake

Every mistake has been a choice. Intent is the deciding factor. They made the choice of street racing which ended up killing a woman and her child. That was not their intent so it was a bad choice or a mistake.

This thread refuses to disappoint.

I can't believe you guys are debating the definition of a word. I'm having Clinton/Lewinski trial flashbacks.

That is because some people like to excuse their stupid choices by calling them a mistake.
But then in today's world of special snowflakes I am not surprised.

Let's see how it plays out in a different sentence structure.

Bill Cosby mistakingly raped her after he put a roofie in her drink. (Nope)

Bill Cosby's negligence caused him to rape her after putting a roofie in her drink. (NOPE)

Bill Cosby deliberately raped her after he put a roofie in her drink. (YUP)!

Its not different sentence structure when its an entirely different scenario with an an entirely different intent. Unless you are against RDJ here.

Which is why it’s called Manslaughter and not Murder.
