My 03 2V GT. I've got a 2.1 KB making right at 14 PSI of boost. This is still a stock long block motor no work to the heads or bottom end. I'm currently tuned for E85 with a single Magnafuel Pro EFI 750 pump. I've upgraded my heat exchanger to a AFCO dual pass and I'm running a 5 Gallon trunk mout reservoir using a Meziere 20 GPM pump.

Here's a few pics

Even though they are listed on Mr Norms site I don't believe you can buy those cams from them anymore. I believe you have to go through MPH again. From what I understand Tim left Mr. Norms and is now trying to bring back MPH.

Tim is still at Mr. Norms, and is running modular power house out of the same shop. My 00 gt is there and just had a forged block and a set of his MPH blower cams installed . Made 461rwhp before running out of fuel and having to back out.

I have a 16 sec clip that I keep listen to over and over to again lol

Pics and vid or it didnt happen. Lol

2000 GT Vert with 1.7 KB
Forged Bottom end
8-rib setup.
MPH Blower Cams and springs
Stock Heads
Bassani Mid Lenghts, o/r Xpipe and Cat-back.
Mafia and JLT Ram Air

Here is a short quick clip of it running (Cold Start / shitty video), still at 8psi, with the KB Big Air kit. it made 417rwhp.

These are the only pics/video i have of it right now since I have not been back.

Tim installed the Maffia, JLT Ram Air and smaller pully and hit the 461rwhp before having to back out due to pegging the stock Fuel pump with a KB boost-a-pump.

I am having the pump upgraded, so hopefully it will be done next week and i will get the final numbers!

I'm jealous of your custom inlet. I've been thinking about doin that too, to see if I can get 16psi out of her.

Instead of taking the time to make a custom inlet try finding a cobra or gt 2.6 inlet. The bolt patern is the same and all you will need to have made is a simple spacer to put between the blower and the manifold. This allows the inlet to clear the fuel rail.

Has this been proven and done already. If so I would like to see pics and gains off it. All I would need is the inlet and a spacer? Plus where can I buy this inlet? Would kenne bell sell it? I've only seen custom made ones, if I could do a cobra or kenne bell inlet that would be awesome since they look way better under the hood.

I only know of 1 person who has installed this inlet. He actually picked up around 45rwhp IIRC. No pics sorry.

If you buy a cobra inlet you will need to have a bypass valve flange welded on along with having a spacer made. If you buy the GT inlet you will just need the spacer. The down side here is that KB wont sell you either one. This is there way of forcing people to buy a whole new kit rather then just upgrading what they have :bs:. I still think it would be cheaper then having a custom inlet made. If you can weld then that's a different story.

Now with that said both inlets do come up on ebay from time to time. I actually picked up a GT 2.6 inlet for around $250 to my door recently. When I install my built engine I will be installing my new inlet along with a ported intake manifold and re-located bypass.

I remember a couple people actually buying the inlet from kenne bell. They only cost $250 plus shipping. I plan on buying another one this summer just to hack up and make a custom one. I figure the flanges will cost me about the same amount to be made i might as well just buy a new inlet and start cutting/welding

Yea a custom made sheet metal intake has to start somewhere, might as well be from a pre existing intake that has proven itself already.

Kenne Bell stopped selling them to people without already owning the lager blower once they figured out what they were doing. The way they confirm it is by the SN stamped on the blower.

Maybe.

I think KB would stand to make a good amount of $$$ if they would offer us 2.1 guys an upgrade kit.

That would be awesome!!! I'm sure they won't sell it to us 1.7 and 2.1 guys. We should contact them and do a group buy on them, so at least they would profit from it, and we would all be happy lol.

With numbers like this it makes me wonder if paying for ported heads is worth it.

Yeah, I thought my heads/cams would be a big restriction, and I didn't have an extra 2 gs to get them. I honestly was shooting for 450/460. I don't really think ported pi heads is worth it. I would rather save up and get TRickflows, nothing compares to them. Plus I heard these KB blowers run really well with stock cams. Eventually down the road I will upgrade, hopefully along with a bigger blower as well. For now I am satisfied. I dynoed my car RIGHT after my first start up, so we kept it safe, and didn't push it. I'm sure she'll break 500/530 next run. I was actually pushing 14.1 psi to be exact lol
