Snapped the snout of the crankshaft off..

Too much power I suppose.

Car broke Saturday at 12:30 AM.. HPP came with their rig and full trailer, loaded it up.. motor was out yesterday and is off to houston soon. Looks like it will be a fast turn around.

When she comes back I'm not settling for any less than 900 rwhp.. so.. get your shit together guys.

Well............You're not the first blower car to break a HPP/Houston Performance crank. Number 3 that I know of.
Did it break where the other ones broke?........in the oil pump area?

I hope that luck doesn't move to the turbo engines!:eek:

Sorry to hear that! I really liked that little car. My first new Mustang was a 79 turbo notch.

Jeremy you sure have a lot of problems with houston performance engines have you ever thought about going another route or are they do the repair under some sort of warranty agreement?

Was it the stock block?
How long did you run at the power level in your sig?

no its not a stock block, its an aluminum block with a billett crank and rod stroker motor.
Sucks that happened Jeremy, hope it gets back up and running.

Hmmm 920+ crank horsepower all on the snout..

Somehow I doubt it's the motor builder.

They simply do not make a crank strong enough, so I'm going another route. Nor do they make a cage support.

Side loading combined with harmonic vibrations at those levels.. add slicks.. ka-****ing-boom.

She's gonna be the same motor, just with a new crank.
