I posted a vid a few weeks ago that I made from Window Movie Maker and it was kinda cheesy and cheap looking...I was in the market for a new laptop and a friend turned me onto the Macbook Pro...pretty sweet, kinda hard to get used to since I've been on a PC since they've been out. Anyhow, after playing with a template and vids i took from NMRA at Bowling Green, I went from cheesy and cheap... to cheesy and PIMP!!! what you guys think? Leaving for Vegas on Sat of SEMA, so I'll have plenty of time to play with the software and I'm taking the GoPro too with hopes to get some awesome footage from SEMA.

Nice work bro. I went to a Mac 4 years ago and never looked back. The video came out great. Professional looking, I would say.

Nice editing!

I too switched to a MacBook Pro from PC. It's different, but I'm diggin it so far. I haven't attempted video editing yet. But, you may have inspired me. LOL

I've got a million hours worth of layovers on the way home next Sunday, so I'll be editing the videos and photos from SEMA

Sony Vegas is supposed to be the closest program to use for PC... It's $800 for the software... A few hundred more dollars and you get the MBP, and iMovie is free, along with Garage Band and Photobooth to name a few

How did you get all those sick effects? I've been messing with iMovie for a while but never found any of that cool stuff?

It's imovie 2011 if that makes a difference.... When you go to new projects, in the top right side of that little window, there is a tab that you can choose for themes and trailers... They are classified by genre... The trailer I made is an Action themed trailer, pretty simple drag and drop... The themed features let you make your movie with that theme... It's badass
