Just got back from a 2 week trip to Alaska. Was a once in a lifetime trip. I figured I would share some of my photos. October is supposed to be an ugly month to visit, but I disagree. It was very beautiful. We visited Anchorage, Denali National Park, Fairbanks, Valdez, Seward, and other areas. All pictures were taken with cheap point and shoot digital camera.

I went to Alaska a couple of years ago as well. We went to Anchorage and Denali National Park as well. We took that long train ride (I forgot the name) and that trip was by far the coolest vacation I have ever been on. I would love to go again! Nice pics

What time of year are you going? And are you interested in outdoors stuff? Or just sightseeing?

Don't want to hi-jack, just contribute. I go 4-5 times a year for work and I LOVE IT. It's amazing. That lake you stayed on is absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Seward was awesome. Cool little town. Stayed there for 3 days. I want to go back during the summer. A lot of the stuff was closed in October unfortunately. The tourist season ends on Sept 15th, so many restaurants, hotels, and attractions close down.

Your own private lake. Nice. I can only imagine who awesome that must have been to be out there in the Alaska wilderness alone with nature. If we went though, the wife would have to have electricity. Just a wood stove for heat wouldn't cut it. LOL!

A friend of mine moved to the Anchorage area a few years ago and loves it. That is one place I've never visited but would love to. I've yet to hear anyone who vacationed in Alaska say they didn't love it.

My Fiance and I went to Alaska on vacation 3 years ago (Sept. 2009), and it was the best trip we have had! We visited Janeau, Ketchikan, and Sitka. We also visited Victoria Canada. Loved it and want to go back. Thank you Rezarxt for sharing your pics.
