The wheels were the dirtiest part on the outside and because there were so many spokes, I decided it would be best to pre-soak the wheels and clean them individually with the Swissvax Wheel Brush.

The Stage V Detailing Package
comes with five brand new genuine sheepskin wash mitts to be used during the foam gun hand wash. Normally these are divided among the wheels but since the wheels are already clean, they were divided among the vehicle top to bottom. We have ten fresh, soapy sides of the wash mitt and no risk of grit inside of buckets, plus the customer gets to keep the wash mitts!

The exterior panels were blow dried, including the wheels:

We have started the clay bar on the windshield and will clay all of the exterior glass, followed by the paintwork.

First we need to determine that the vehicle is safe for polishing and that there are no big thickness variances or thin spots. For this we use our DeFelkso Positector Ultrasonic Depth Gauge.

Now that the surface is free of stuck-on contamination, we can begin polishing to restore the finish of the clear coat. This process took hours alone to do properly.

The carbon fiber also has light scratches that we will restore:

Tail lamp lenses have light scratches in them that can be polished away:

After the polishing of everything is finished, the green tape is removed and the vehicle is entirely re-washed with foam, water, and another brand new wash mitt.

That is a pretty sweet deal, so you would actually come all of the way to my house, pick my car up, and drop it back off? I live north of Fort Wayne Indiana what would the turn around time be on this, do you travel that far? Chicago is around 4 hours from my home. Let me know.. When will you be ending the special?

damn.... I work 55 hours a week. Needless to say my paint doesn't see the care it needs. I wish you were close. You would have my business. Awesome work!

How long does it take to do a job like that?

After a thorough inspection to ensure all dipsticks are secured, no wires are exposed, and that everything is ready for water. The engine compartment is rinsed:

Sprayed down with a gentle degreaser:

Allowed to soak and then scrubbed with various brushes:

The degreaser is rinsed off, the engine bay is blown dry, then hand wiped down with a plastic protectant:

The vehicle is rinsed, foamed up, and with five wash mitts we will divide them among the wheels and body panels from top to bottom as deemed necessary by the amount of dirt on the clear coat.
