Just a little touch up work on a C5. Removed the wheels, cleaned the inner wheel barrels and detailed the inner fender well, suspension components, sway bar end links, etc... and then mounted and torqued the wheels to 100 ft/lbs. in a star pattern.

Hey, you're on chicagosvt :)
I may have been mentioned on there before, but I am not a sponsor at the moment. I am on Chicagolandmustang.com though.

From today: Brake Rotor Polishing

As some of you know, we offer a unique service for drilled and slotted rotors called brake rotor polishing. It's a process we've been doing for about two years now and it really makes the rotors stand out in a great way. The holes and slots are polished out with various tools and clear coated with a high-temperature header paint designed to withstand 1300-2000*F. After the holes dry, the rotor is hand-sanded to ensure that only the insides of the holes and slots remain clear coated while the rest of the brake rotor's surface does not. The pad does not enter these holes or slots but they must withstand a great amount of heat which is why we use header paint inside of them. In this example, we also polished the Aluminum CCW wheels to restore and brighten them up!

Detailed! Our very own...

Custom 40' Enclosed Gooseneck Trailer & 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

Our truck and enclosed trailer have been hard at work delivering clean vehicles throughout Winter to homes all over Chicagoland. It has endured the brutal Winter and constant road salt applications so your vehicle can arrive safely back at your home without a drop of anything on it!

Here are a few before shots of what it looked like to start. They've both made some very long trips recently and needed a lot of attention.

AeT_3.jpg

Here I am beginning to clean the panels with a boars hair brush after allowing them about 10 minutes to pre-soak with a diluted mixture of Amazing Roll-off. ARO helps loosen dirt on contact and is completely safe for all finishes when diluted properly and makes washing dirty vehicles or large vehicles much easier with better results per pass. This service is standard in our Stage V Detailing Package.

Rinsing off:

Quite a bit of time has passed and now the truck is cleaned up too. It also received an ARO pre-soak to start, but was washed with a brand new sheepskin wash mitt and not the boars hair brush.

AeT_6.jpg

AeT_7.jpg

The interior was swept and mopped, switch plates cleaned up, and everything given a general wipe down.

AeT_8.jpg

AeT_9.jpg

The truck and trailer were coated in Zaino Z-CS (Clear Seal), Zaino Z-16 on the tires, and a lot more time on the inner wheel wells and rims (All 10 of them!)

how much do you run for a detail for an 2004 Mystichrome Cobra?
The most popular selection by my customers is the Stage IV which is a full interior and exterior detail including clay bar service and two layers of Zaino Z-2 Pro:

Stage IV - Jason's Automotive Detailing Spa

The Stage IV is discounted for Winter to $249 and includes free round trip enclosed transport in our custom built 40' gooseneck trailer. I have five different packages to choose from and you can even pick out items and design your own:

Design Your Custom Detailing Package - Jason's Automotive Detailing Spa

the main packages page can be accessed here if you would like to look around:

Thank you,

Detailed & Delivered!

2008 Chevrolet Corvette
Black

Featuring our most popular detailing package, the Stage IV, here is a descriptive walk through of how each Stage IV is always performed. We have strict standards and never rush through anything. In addition to the Stage IV Detailing Package, we will also be performing our new and improved Two Step Polish Add-on which replaces our current Light Polish add-on for improved results at the same cost. We have made some exciting new additions to the Stage IV which you can read all about below!

First is the initial inspection looking for aftermarket accessories to be mindful of and to analyze the current condition of the various materials used to manufacture the vehicle. This includes leather, rubber, plastic, aluminum, glass, painted surfaces, carpet, floor mats, and exhaust tips among others.

Now to vacuum up the leaves in the cowl area:

After inspecting the engine bay for loose wires and ensuring all caps are tight, we can begin rinsing it:

Spraying a gentle degreaser and scrubbing through all of the road grime, grease, dirt, and oil.

Rinsing the engine bay back off.

The engine bay is blow dried and then protected with a non-gloss Meguiar's plastic treatment that is applied by hand. It is flat black and does not leave a greasy or sticky residue that attracts dust.

Due to the very dirty exterior surfaces, it is important to use a pre-soak that breaks down the dirt and sediment before using soap and a wash mitt. The pre-soak was applied, allowed time to sit, and then rinsed off. The pre-soak took much of the dirt and sediment right along with it without the need of agitating the contamination with a wash mitt and possibly scratching the clear coat.

License Plate Removal is now a standard service included in the Stage IV Detailing Package! As you can see, it was very dirty behind this license plate and we're happy to remove it and clean behind there for you. The area behind the plate is also protected with Zaino Z-2 Pro just like the rest of your vehicle.

GnU-36.jpg

GnU-37.jpg

The exterior is foamed up and the delicate hand wash begins. The number of wash mitts is stepped up from only one, to two, all completely standard now.

The vehicle is rinsed off and we're ready to clay bar:

GnU-43.jpg

GnU-44.jpg

We have a vast selection of clay bars in stock and ready for use that very from fine to aggressive grade and include brands such as Zaino, Clay Magic, and Chemical Guys - Our top three favorite clay bar brands. The fine grade Zaino clay bar service is included in the Stage IV but we can use another grade at no additional charge depending on the condition of your paint.

GnU-45.jpg

All of the exterior paintwork, glass, and plastic receives the benefit of the clay bar. Clay barring the glass surfaces clears up stuck on contamination just as it does for paint and allows for a much clearer windshield. This is now standard in the Stage IV.

2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
Grigio Telesto

I detailed this Superleggera with our Stage V Detail Package and some additional CCR time on the paintwork, plastic, and carbon fiber.

First is the walk around to observe anything unusual or areas that will need more attention than others. To start off, the license plate was removed first thing to get ready for cleaning.

Inspecting the front end for bugs, other contaminants, scratches, and chips.

a_legg-2.jpg

I was able to see the damage to the paintwork and carbon fiber with our 3M Sun Gun. We'll fix these later, but for now here is what the paint condition was initially:

First thing is to get the engine compartment cleaned up. First is a thorough inspection using light when needed to ensure all electrical connections, grommets, caps, dipsticks, etc.. are all secured so water does not end up where it shouldn't be. Air intake hoses and clamps are also inspected at this time.

a_legg-20.jpg

Beginning the engine rinse, light degreaser, and scrub:

The degreaser is rinsed off, everything is blow dried, and a non-glossy plastic protectant is applied for an OEM look that repels dust.
