It is truly astonishing to watch one of the strongest economies in the world commit seppuku before our very eyes. 20 years from now Germany will be a very different place tha it is now.

I once calculated that it would take 2500 of our largest gas fired plants just to replace diesel and gasoline. Factor in the closing of all coal and nuke plants, knocking out dams to save rivers and you have a massive shortage of electricity. With all of the regulatory hurdles to build anything new, we are 10 years behind on starting. We will never be able to fulfill our "Green" politicians wet dreams on their timeline.

Clean energy, EV tech etc. is built on hopes and dreams and of course my favorite “They’ll figure it out”. I think it would quite eye opening to start listing the amount of failed techs throughout the years.

All i know is the powers at be are gambling life as we know it on this bullshit.

I started hearing about "accelerationism"

It's the ideology that you push the new idea through as quickly as possible, with no regard for consequences.
You ARE going from A to B... don't dxck around...njust go there NOW. Let the chips fall as it would have likely happened anyways.

I think that's the global mantra now.
So don't be surprised by the wreckage of it all. It's inevitable.

The Green Insanity.

I wait with baited breath for them to shut down the Becker, MN coal fired power plant. The Greens are already fighting the 2 gas fired plants that were supposed to replace it.

My wife is German and I always astonished at how her and her family ignore the realities of green energy. They truly were brainwashed throughout school. Even she admits that on our personal home that we need solar because the grid is going to be down a lot in the coming years, but she will not admit that we need nuclear plants. I have tried to put dents in her dogma, but it is not based in any logic. I am hoping the fear of losing energy, and my pointing the blatantly obvious fact that all these climate preachers jet around on their private jets and live on ocean front properties while telling us that the earth only has a few more years and the oceans are rising, will eventually pay off.

They are too blinded by the ideology of it to be willing to or able to understand the reality of it.

I wish this article was in german so i could send it to one of my uncles but he’s probably too stubborn to read it anyways.

This is what they get for electing a commie to run their country (into the ground) for ten years. Danke Mutti!

Is there a western leader *in history* who has had her legacy unwound as quickly as Merkel? It is astonishing how much she ****ed up germany in such a short time.

That was then:

Someone has to show the world that the green-energy fantasy is just that…..a fantasy.

Always thought the Germans were a pragmatic people so it was shocking to read their Plan B was hope and dreams.

Here is the problem, just like my belief in regards to the 24 Elections.

We have to learn a hard lesson with “Green” energy.

You have seen the excuses in politics regarding socialism here. “It isn’t Democratic Socialism.”

I can see the media spin now, Germany did it all wrong and we can do it right.

We are at a point where hard lessons need to be learned. People need to end up bankrupt, homeless, dead.

I mean maybe someday solar will be more viable, but realistically for that to happen, you'd need panels that are over 80-85% efficient, but that would take a 4x improvement from where they are today.
