Quick back story I bought a Samsung tv in 2009 and have been extremely happy with it. I then bought a Samsung sound bar in 2014 and have nothing but good things to say.
Well fast forward to Black Friday 2016 I buy a 55" 4K smart tv from Samsung. At first everything was fine, but then I noticed some weird green lights in the corner that could only be noticed when the back screen was black. It wasn't a huge deal so I kind of dismissed it, until I saw my buddies 70" Samsung with crystal clear screen. So I call tech support and a tech comes out and says they are going to replace the screen. Well weeks and weeks go by and finally they say they can't get a new screen and that I have to get a whole new model.
While this is happening the sound starts going out on my tv and some of the apps are skipping (like when you have bad internet connection and it kind of pauses). So I'm getting frustrated as this tv is now useless. I'm watching Netflix and etc on my older tv while they keep dicking me around. I call twice a week for updates and their customer service blows. I get a new transaction number every time and I have to explain the whole situation each time because they have no record of my history.
Well I finally get a new tv about 3 months after I first called and in this time my friends with Samsung phones / washer and dryers / etc are having problems as well.
So I guess where this is going is did something change with Samsung? They used to be a solid brand? Now it seems like they are making junk stuff?
TL : DR
Does Samsung suck now?
