I sold my 06 Z06 after owning it for 6 years. I bought it new. Yes it was a sad day! After spending extended time behind the wheel of the C7 Z, I'm not sure I would go that route. It's fast, but you can feel the power fall off as it heats up. I drove a C6 Z07 back to back with a C7 Z07.... Imo I prefer the C6 over all.... Just my 2 cents. But what do I know...

If you end up buying a C7Z, let us know how you like it and how it compares to your old C6Z.

Yeah that's it. Wtf are you talking about? I sold my cobra to pay off my wedding, not that it's any of your business. The new owner and I talk all the time. And yes I think c6z is better than gt500, that's all.

I never asked why you sold it or what you used that money for, but I'm glad you found someone who can stomach your non-stop egotistical wanna be alpha male rants.

Your new owner is constantly posting in this forum about how ****ed up the car is since he got it. He even used the words "not as described".

Enjoy your C6Z, maybe you go into other random threads and bring up opinions and attempt to use them as facts to create an argument to justify your Corvette purchase again. That would be really helpful to Svtperformance.com

you're right, I'd hate having a better power to weight ratio with my n/a combo, running cooler, 29mpg, better handling, and easier to work on.

P:W can be overcome by adding more power to the GT500. Not to mention you can make WAY more power on a stock internal GT500 than a stock internal Z06 could ever hope to make. And what aspect are you basing it on as far as "easier to work on?" The GT500 is not hard to work on at all for the average DIY garage guy, and I'm speaking from personal experience. Some stuff can be tedious, but it's not "hard" to work on.

I can't argue about the MPG. Heavy cars with big HP drink big gas.

.............at the end of the day, you need to be happy when you open your garage door - for me the Z does that so GT500 went bye-bye for me

I miss my Viper. If i could go back in time, I wouldn't have sold it to pick up a Z06. The problem with the Viper was that it ate 2 power steering pumps while I had it...less than 15k miles and that I had a really hard time putting the power down to the ground.

I had numerous quality issues with the Z06. Fit and finish sucked and for a car with less than 24k...it felt like I was driving around in a car with over 100k.

My current car is very reliable, I love the bells and whistles in it and I spent 2 grand to make close to 150rwhp in it. It finally feels like I have enough horsepower, and I can put my toddlers in the back if they want to go for a ride. Best situation all around... With that said..I will be putting a Gen 5 Viper next to it in the next couple of years.

On your Gen3 Viper did you ever replace the power steering lines? Did they leak? I know they were prone to leak on my truck along with the oil cooler lines so those were replaced with some good non leak AM custom lines. The OEM lines were trash.
