Lol thanks steve. But dropping 3K on some wheels is kinda pushing it considering that tires alone are the cost of 2 full sets of cobra replicas. lol Dont tempt me! ;-)

Can't really see the time on my phone. What did it run? Car sounds amazing

Great choice the '08-up C6 Vettes are very nice. I wish I could fit but im 6'3"

Mustangs are great but Vettes hold the crown, I know many people hate but C6 Z06/ZR1's are king besides GTR's & Supra's

My friend is 6'7" and fits in mine just fine. He says to make it perfectly comfortable as a driver he needs about an inch more. He's certainly not eating his knees or anything though.

I'm jelly... I'd only sell my cobra if one if these were available. Atm, trying to pay off the cobra then buy one so I can have best of both :)

Welcome back, sir. Your whip is prety cool. Is that Aston Martin yours as well? I have a big weakness for Aston Martin. Good luck with your car, sir!

Also I put thousands and thousands in my Cobra's and never saw a 10 second pass, even powershifting with a 1.65 60'. My vette I did 4 little mods, one of them being the tune, and first pass was a 10.91. I can't really complain about that. ;-)

Sounds like that was your fault, not the car(first sentence).
But nice vette man, ive looked into maybe getting an 08 auto C6. Ive heard some pretty sketchy things about those transmissions though. I know of a few local guys with similar combinations. It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts you.

I guess I did add more expensive parts then I had to. When my fuel pumps were dragging ass, I went with the Fore triple hat with twin GT pumps and 60lb SD injectors. Fully built tranny because I kept breaking synchros. But it still never go in the 10s. I let experienced "mustang drivers" try to make passes in it and they still couldn't best my times. No suspension work was also probably an issue. But the point I was making is I didn't want to HAVE to do all this crap to get a 10 second pass. The cars were also always broken. My blue one only had 30K miles on it and would not start some mornings. Leave me stranded with a broken alternator. Start making funny noises. Intercooler pumps would work when they felt like it. They are good for what they are, but what they are is cheap. My vette I threw a cam, stall and full exhaust in with some DRs and first pass was a 10 and I launched relatively soft.

It's been said that the 6L80 trans will last a VERY long time as long as you monitor your temps. Do whatever you can to keep them south of 200* and it should be fine. Also dont push much past 500RWHP without a built one. I have a few local friends with similar setups and they track the car often and have no problems, 50K miles +. In fact, I've yet to hear of a failure with the same mods.
