Hiding your SSID and MAC filtering is a minor annoyance to anyone who knows what they are doing.

i would say the percentage of those knowing what they're doing is quite small compared to your average wireless thief. also, no measure of security is 100 percent secure. but every little bit helps.

Depending on your area, you'd be surprised at how often your WAP is 'audited' by others.
