If it is have you ever used a d.i. rifle?

If you have which do you prefer?

The AR is not a piston. I did a lot of research and found out in a lot of forums that practical hands on experience is that the piston guns were easier to keep clean but lacked a little in accuracy. i went with Wilson on the account that there accuracy & experience was far superior to everything else that i looked at in the 6.8. they were the leader in developing that cartridge.

That is about the most insane hunting setup I've seen. Must be awesome!! Those wild hogs are nasty looking. Nasty disposition, too. You're smart hunting them from the truck bed. :)

I don't always get close enough from the bed. At night they come out into the fields and feed and some of our fields are 1/2 mile long. So you have to stalk them. For close range I carry a 14-45 para-ordnance 45 acp for when they get to close .

The meat is very lean compared to a store bought pork. the bigger they are the less you would want to eat. The smaller 50to 11lbs is the best for bbq

After seeing that it almost makes me ashamed of my hunting rig. This is a whitetail setup but I have taken hogs with it.

What's shameful about that? I'd be a little more ashamed to use a night vision scope myself.

Since you live in Athens , then you should be aware of the hog & coyote problem that we have through out the state. It not as easy as it looks shooting at night. Matter of fact it is harder because of the optics and judgment of distances. The nose is the most powerful thing on these predators day or night. Ride on down from Athens to Cordele and I let you see! By the way that bow is sweet!!!

Nothing shameful about a Matthews, hope to have a similar setup myself next year!
