HAHA! I thought about it actually. I got my windows tinted yesterday as well and I think it would look AWESOME with a satin black vinyl on the roof  We'll see
How did your tint turn out in the dot matrix upper area of the rear window? I had my windows tinted a few weeks ago and that area took a while to look better as the water evaporated. I let the car sit in the sun for a few days. And it is not perfect.

From the outside it looks good from some angles but you can see a faint silver effect here and there especially from the inside. I pressed it down pretty good with my fingers while wearing latex gloves. I'll wait till next year and if I am not satisfied may end up having them do the dotrix application over the dot matrix.

My dot matrix is perfect. You need to try a find a tinter that will do vinyl for the dot matrix. That or paint (paint changes color in time and is pretty permanent, so I would stay away if you can.) I actually picked this tinter because of his great reviews and when I told him the year he TOLD ME that he would be using vinyl up top! Once I heard that I was sold. Looking at it today almost dry, the tint is PERFECT! I'm super happy

Edit: here are some crappy pics...sorry I'm at work

Good deal. Yes, my tinter warned me beforehand about the dotmatrix but initially did not offer up the dotrix solution. But he told me we could do it next year. I would prefer not to have to do the vinyl because I don't like the black strip on the inside. But yours looks good so maybe I will go that route next year.

I have a few crappy iPhone pics. One of these days I will take decent shots once it is lowered.

Here is my car just before getting the tint:

And right after the tint:

And a few days later after the moisture cleared up.

As you can see you really can't tell unless you are really close.
