Coming along very nicely. Did you mention how much compression you're running with the combo?
Motor is right around 10-1, well to be more accurate it’s 11-1 but the cam bleeds it down to about 10-2-1 or round abouts

Had to change the headers out and modify the x pipe, and tuned it in a bit more, made some decent gains after some growing pains.

I cannot stress enough how much a load bearing dyno helps vs just spinning the rollers. Without the load I wouldn’t have found out a fuel pump issue I was having. Loaded the dyno up to 4k lbs and let the car rip and found the load in 3rd was dropping the fuel pump pressure to 2psi. The issue wasn’t seen when we spun the dyno with less load.

Aeromotive 340 pump just can’t support a 800hp carbed motor even though the pump was rated at 1000hp. Changed it to a walbro 550 and fixed all my fueling issues.
Same dyno as last time where I make 600whp( same one where a Redeye put down 580) I went from 40* total to 34* and changed the 1250 Dominator to a 1050 Dominator, made 608whp (showed 828 to the motor)at 4k load. This is all done on 91 octane.

I spun the dyno at 3600 load and it showed 630whp( almost 860hp) just goes to show you can manipulate the numbers pretty easy but it’s a great tuning tool. If I put it on a dyno meter I’d probably show mid to high 600’s. I might for funnies just to see.

Car black tracks everywhere now, and is pretty snappy. Butt dyno says it’s pretty quick. I’d guess it’s a 140mph car crossing the stripe or close to it which was the goal to have a pump gas car I can beat on. Once I move and have access to 93 octane I’ll bump the timing up 4* and see what happens.

Spun a bit on the dyno here.

Any reason you’re not going with FI? Or e85?

^^^ Money mainly, I did originally build this as a turbo car but I had to start over from square 1 after my original car got stolen with most of my parts. This was plan b with a whole new car and left over parts.

Still Working on the car here and there, made 616whp 564wtq on a mustang dyno last go around on pump. It’s still detuned but it’s getting there. Carb is giving me some issues, I think it’s dumping too much off idle. It’s always something.
