So far, things are looking good considering.Sucks bro. Sorry to hear. Rode that pony many times..... Just gives u an excuse to make to stronger for next time. Hopefully the block I still good.
I cant even say thanks for the advice because there was none.
Jesus. I mean I figured it out pretty quick before you guys even commented what it was. I was just sharing the experience. Man this is a tough crowd. Sorry you guys have broke your cars years ago and I am late to the game. lol. I was merely adding a video on what happened to share my experience and more so to get feedback on what causes this.
That's the last thing I would've expected to break.
I gave you great advice. Your just either too dense and or arrogant to listen. I’ll say it once more and then I’m out of this nightmare thread for good.
1) Stop screwing around speculating about lock tite or loose bolts and PULL THE MOTOR
2) Don’t buy shit until you know what you have. Ya, you obviously need a crank but you also might need a complete long block. Don’t buy anything until you know. You’ll waste a pile of money doing that.
3) What ever you plan to spend to fix this - double it. And how much time you think it’ll take - double that too.
That’s all I got for you, not that it matters, you seem like the type of fellow that needs to learn things the hard way. Good luck.
Jesus Christ, a few of you guys as assholes huh? Wow.
I don’t need a complete long block. I bought the crank because I absolutely need that ant found oem cranks for $300. It made sense to buy one while I could at that price.
That sucks PM... total buzz kill. I wouldn't think breaking a crank snout with a 2.3L TVS is all that common. I'll be following to see if somehow the balancer was the root cause of this failure. Seems like installation errors cause lots of misfire issues and a balancer working itself loose is not uncommon, causing issues that they are supposed to prevent. Good luck with the diagnosis and repair.
O.P., sorry for your luck. You kind of said it yourself though, some of these guys have been breaking their cars for years on here. There are a few “members” on here who post a link to their YouTube videos, then ghost until they post their next YouTube video. We all know what’s going on there.
If you see a post that you don’t like, just ignore it. It’s the internet, and the good thing about that... we can pick and choose what we want to read.
I’ve seen some solid advice on this thread myself. I would tell you that just because you can’t hear a real lope doesn’t mean you don’t have aftermarket cams. I have stage 2 Comp Cams in my car. You can’t really tell though.

If you had pulled the engine and disassembled it to get the full extent of the damage first, you would also know what else you need besides a crank.
With damage that extensive, I've never seen anyone do what you're doing. Generally, the engine gets pulled and then you figure it out from there.
Incidentally, this makes for MUCH better YouTube content and would get you more exposure.
If the bolt loosened, and the key way sheared off, could that have caused the pulley to fail, giving the appearance of a broken snout?
I just don't accept the fact at, basically a stock Trinity blower upgrade, there's anyway to break a crank snout. If there is, can anyone chime in?
Another YouTuber, with a 2014, big ass KB, 1000rwhp, blew out his stock timing system, and nothing else got damaged! I think you will come out the same way. Pulley bolt loosened, sheared crank keyway, vibration caused your timing system to fail. Crank will be ok.
Not a fan of WOT box, and stock timing system. Even if you only use it for the "no lift shift", like you said in that video you made.
Good luck
