Saw a "used" 09 AMS Alpha 9 GTR for sale on EBay for $150k. So for a build like this I can honestly say for close to $300 it's not that bad when comparing to other major tuner cars, AMS, Underground Racing ect. Also Bugatti CEO says the new Bugat*ti Gal*i*bier sedan will beat all tuner cars on the market. John Hennessy is putting this car up to challenge Bugatti.

Is the caddy fully built? Like 10k billet gears in the transmission built? You can easily have a 100-200k price tag just on the build on a gtr or gallordo but it depends how thorough the build is. I almost spit coffee on my computer when I saw hennesseys new Jeep srt8 price tag. From the build sheet it looks like your common build (in these crazy days.)

But you have to remember these aren't real common cars to upgrade so not a lot of people are likely to do it. You have to pay for all that r&d to get the result some how. Heard the stories about hennessey and I've never met him or done business with him. I will say a buddy of mine was very impressed that john let him and T1 use his shop all night to change out a gtr transmission at tk12

Everything is overprice because of either, you can not build one by yourself or because you can not afford one build by someones sweat.

Wrong and wrong.

Let me help you out, Overpriced: Too costly for the value.

In this case "Cost" comes nowhere close to "Value."

Define Value here? Tangible value or Intangible value. Still not helping out either way. Its like saying people that are spending $60,000+ on mass produced mustangs.

I agree with you, people are paying for the exclusiveness. I don't know the internal details of this build to be completely honest. I know people don't like John Hennessy. Bottom line is he is still in business and people are buying his products. I would imagine the guy that spends $300k on a Cadillac probably has a Bug or Egg in his "fleet" of cars too.

We must all have a different definition of "Exclusive."

A Buggatti and a Koenigsegg are exclusive.

The 12 $295K CTS-V's were made on the same line the other 10,000 CTS-V's were... Exclusive. HPE purchases and makes 1066RWHP, WOW, unheard of.. Exclusive. $295K later you're in the 10 sec club in a mass produced car, yes, mass produced.. Yup, exclusive... :lol1:

I just read the quick blurb, so I guess there is an LS7 in it (only says 7.0 liter V8). Kind of disappointed they didn't build the stock motor. Takes away from it being a CTS-V.

Who knows - maybe he has finally learned his lesson from his Viper days after being sued into oblivion and going out of business several times. But a tiger almost never changes his stripes. As far as I'm concerned he's a Class A douchebag.

There are MANY other highly reputable shops that have builds that are just as good minus the price tag and the chance you may have your car parted out to go into other customers cars. Yes that actually happened several times:nonono:

Get over it. You never lost parts to the guy, probably never will, so just take the cars for what they are. It's a badass luxury car making over 1000 to the wheels. Why do people take the price of the car so personal and cry on the Internet like you?

If the guy was as bad as people on SVTP say (who have little or no experience with them) how are they still in business?

If he has customers that are willing to pay then why not charge that much. He had to have built up some sort of good rep to sell these cars for that much money. Or maybe some rich people are just stupid..

Get over it? Did you bump your head or something retard? Hey if you are too dumb not to learn from others mistakes then I don't know what to tell you. I base my opinion on facts. If that's too much for you to grasp you are more dumb than you have appeared in the past... and that is pretty dumb:bash:

And price? So once again who is the dumbass?- the guy who gets a product that is as good and is less $, from someone who has a better rep or YOU? Yup you guessed it. YOU are the dumbass here my friend. Now go back to swinging on Hennessey's nuts- it suits you pretty well:nonono:

BTW- look up some of the threads on the Viper forums... should be enlightening even for someone like you...

The Caddy is $295k

You know, I originally figured what I'd buy using a $295K figure, and then thought I must have the number wrong and changed it to $195K. :lol1: I was right the first time. So now instead of having to choose either the '13 Viper or the '13 GT-R, I can have them both, along with the '13 BMW 535i!

For those wondering why Hennessey is hated, do a search on ViperAlley and see how many people got ripped off. It is old news.
