glad you got it worked out. Like others have said......I always get a shipping quote with insurance that will cover the full price of the part being shipped. If the buyer doesnt like it I'll let them know I'll gladly ship it with no insurance but if something happens it is the buyers problem not mine. If they are smart they will pay the extra cost.

In your case the buyer could have filed a claim with the shipper and more than likely got the valve replaced by them. Way to to come through though. Some people wouldnt have done the same.
